One will never starve in the Philippines. There are foods everywhere. It's fascinating to taste rare foods but enjoyed by common Filipinos.

Balat ng baboy is grilled pork skin, isaw ng baboy are pig intestines and tenga ng baboy are marinated and grilled pig ears (nicknamed walkman).
Grilled chicken intestine also nicknamed IUD because it resembles an intra-uterine device. Grilled or deep-fried on a skewer, served with sweet, sour or spicy sauce.
Betamax is a common street food, consisting of roasted dried chicken blood, served in little cubes. The origin of the name is to be found in its squared shape and black color, identical to a miniaturized electronic Betamax tape.
Chicken feet are nicknamed "Adidas". Chicken feet are a common delicacy in the Philippines. The claws and tips of the toes are cut off, and the feet are washed in hot water and the tough outer layer of the skin is peeled or scraped off.
Tokneneng are boiled chicken eggs coated in orange colored dough and fried. Kwek-Kwek are just the same but quail eggs are used instead of chicken eggs.
A balut (balot) is a fertilized duck egg with a nearly-developed embryo/fetus inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. People call it a balut because the egg is hatched in a home-scale hatchery called a balutan. Itik, the mother duck, does not sit on her eggs until the ducklings break their egg shell. Humans have to hatch them by placing them in balutans.
