Why is Sunday dinner so nice?

Sunday is a day that we seem to have a little bit more time for cooking. Other that attending church meetings, we have most of the day to be together as a family. I've noticed that when we take time to make a nice dinner and sit down together as a family the kids seem to enjoy the whole experience.
Normally, during the week, we are so rushed. I'm tired after work and often don't have much desire to spend all evening in the kitchen. Plus, my kids and their snacking habits really drive me crazy! Half the time they are not hungry!
I am so glad for Sundays!
This afternoon, we had roast which was slow cooked for 6 hours (my wife requested the slow cook method). When we walked into the house after church, everyone made lots of comments about how good it smelled. We also added twice baked potatoes, that is a family favorite, corn, Rhodes dinner rolls (I kind of had to rush them), carrots, and some sugar free cherry and lemonade.
The biggest problem was the carrots. They seemed to have froze in the extra refrigerator we have in the garage. That I was told, damages them. They were not good and ended up in the garbage. My only other problem was that I ate too much!!
