OK, this interview with the folks from the whimsical bakehouse" has a recipe for Caramel Popcorn Cupcakes (which upon further review don't actually have any caramel popcorn in them). This recipe sounds a bit like a pain in the ass, but they look super cute. It is at the end of the interview on the cupcakes take the cake blog.
