Cooking and Family

Hi, my name is Lynn McClellan and I love cooking, I started in a kitchen when I was 5 years old with my great grandmother Falley Jayne Wallace and my mother Lenuil Louise Byers. Cooking has always been my first love for relaxing, entertaining and simply put, I love to make people happy and food is a fast way to everyones heart. Children are my second love and passing on my love for the kitchen to them was an experience that I still enjoy. There is nothing I will not try in the kitchen, I love old standards, and making them into easy, simple, budget friendly and busy mom friendly meals is my joy. I do not work now, so I have tons of time on my hands and I am in the process of writing a cookbook that combines my upbringing with that of my husband. It will be called, "The Country Geeche". I was raised in upstate South Carolina where we did the simple country southern meals and my husband was raised on the coast of South Carolina in a fishing village where they ate a lot of seafood. My idea is to combine our family traditions of cooking, into one book that is easy, fun, budget and mom friendly, it is even going to be easy enough for novice cooks, or that is the plan. I hope to share recipes with you all and I hope to find some that I have not yet tried to serve my wonderful husband of 33 years.
