Grapefruit Cake

I watched Paula Deen sometime over the weekend and she was making a grapefruit cake. It looked absolutely yummy. I had some grapefruit at the house that were ready to eat so I thought I would try it. First of all, it isn't a Weight Watcher's friendly recipe. I'm sure there are so many points I don't even want to count them. But it was pretty easy, and fun. My first time to make a cake from "scratch" in many years. The cake is absolutely the best tasting cake I've ever had. I was disappointed with the icing. When I added the grapefruit to the icing it got runny and ran from between the layers. Try it if you like a crisp light tasting cake.
