Brownies and Father's Day

Father's Day and brownies go together like (forgive my rather cliche saying) two peas in a pod. And to be more specific, German Chocolate brownies. Ah, the sweet coconut and fragrant vanilla. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. There's just something about Father's Day that gets these nutty, chocolatey, square-shaped treats flying off the shelves. Why? It's not as though men enjoy brownies more than women. Maybe it's just that wives, sons, and daughters know that if they buy their father or husband some brownies, the rules of etiquette imply that they will be offered one. Or two. Or hopefully three. That's gotta be the reason.
