Snow and ice in the Pacific Northwest drove me home from the office at midday. A perfect and luxurious afternoon for putting on a pot of Beef, Barley and Shitake Soup and kneading up a loaf of French bread. Tonight's supper, along with a bottle of Clos du Bois 2003 zinfandel and herb marinated feta will be the perfect end to a blustery day. Well, that and the American Idol season premiere.
