chocolate covered cherry cookies

tonight princess and i made yummy deliciousness in the form of chocolate covered cherry cookies. i modified a chocolate chip cookie recipe to make a chocolate cookie with cherry chips. (i got them at walmart) since dh loves anything with creme filling, i used the rest of my twinkie filling (i made homemade twinkies last week) to sandwich them together. i think next time i make them i will add either some cherry flavouring oil or some cherry juice to make them cherry-er. also to the filling....they are still yummy, but its just bursts of cherry instead of a all prevading cherry flavour.
