baking

I am really new to baking and cake decorating, began in about 2004 or early 2005 after being diagnosed with lung cancer and then colon cancer - baking was a new experience for my tender 64 years. My baking used to consist of going to the bakery counter ordering what I wanted; my 28 year old daughter grew up on store-bought cookies - I think we made cookies once and tried to make a King cake once but that was about it. Now she is a nurse and works in a medical facility; she brings in what I make - biscuits, cakes, cookies, etc. I really have spoiled the Neurology Department and the surgery and pulmonary departments. I have seen some of the cupcakes and cakes that people have made and all I can say is: Gosh, it's amazing.
