From Granny's Kitchen...With Love!
Turkey Cornbred DressingThis is a 40 plus year old family recipe. We have had this in my family since I was born. This has become the most "important" dish for our holiday dinners.
Mama Rosa Green Beans and PotatoesOne of our favorites. Those who knew my granny, knows about those green beans.
Granny's Garlic ButterMy granny never believed in buying garlic butter for her wonderful garlic bread. She made it herself. So yum!!!
Mama Rosa Salmon PattiesFriday night was always the night for fried fish or salmon patties. This along with mashed potatoes and cream style corn was the way we started our weekend. You can also have these for breakfast with hot buttery grits.
Granny's Chicken SaladAnytime there was a holiday party, this was the main request. Chicken salad at it's best.
This cookbook was created in memory of my loving Granny, Mrs. Rosa Lee Lovick Williams. She spread her love for cooking throughout the small town of Hempstead, Texas for over 93 years. If you wanted to feel love, all you had to do was sit down at her kitchen table, or her small country restaurant called the Hide Away Lounge, which she owned for many, many years. The love our family and friends felt is the love I want each of you to feel each time you cook one of her dishes. ENJOY!
*** All proceeds from the cookbook will go toward the Rosa Lee Williams Scholarship Fund.
