Cookbook Recipe
The Freedom Chef's Gluten Free Vegan Easter Cake Pops
I got this recipe from Becky Ross, The Freedom Chef. She contributed it as part of "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" Month. This was Recipe #2. Now, the recipe below may seem to be long process, but it's not, and it's super fun to do with the kids! This recipe is vegan. It is also gluten free, dairy free, Egg Free, Nut Free, Soy Free and Corn Free. There is No Sugar Added! Plus it's Low Carb, High Protein, and rich in Good Fats. You can even make your own natural food coloring! These are a hot item for Easter, and no one will ever know that they are healthy!"

Cookbook Recipe
Gluten Free Flourless Chocolate Nutella Cake
This was the Recipe #1 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. This is my gluten free blend of Nigella Lawson's recipe out of her phenomenal cookbook - How To Be A Domestic Goddess. If you don't have a copy of this book - get one! It is ALWAYS my first stop for a delectable dessert recipe. When I got the publishing permission from Hyperion and Ms. Lawson herself, I was tickled to bits! Instead of using a jar of nutella in this recipe, I made homemade chocolate hazelnut spread using the Elana's Pantry recipe. Elana Amsterdam is one of my favourite gluten free bloggers, and this healthier nutella recipe is quick and easy. Thanks Elana! The rest of the recipe is pretty self explanatory. Just make sure you don't over mix or over beat the egg whites, gently gently fold in the egg whites and chocolate into the mixture. I will warn you that this cake is DEADLY ADDICTIVE! It is also VERY RICH! A little goes a long way! But that won't stop you from grabbing for another and another and another bite of what I can only describe as a slice of gluten free chocolate piggy heaven!

Cookbook Recipe
Hallie Klecker’s Gluten Free Dairy Free Grain Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Cupcakes
This was Recipe #3 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. Hallie Klecker from Daily Bites contributed this recipe. In her original blog post about these gluten free dairy free grain free chocolate chip cupcakes, she said, "These adorable treats are a marriage of two iconic desserts that seem to please just about everyone: chocolate chip cookies and cupcakes. Talk about a crowd pleaser. Topping the cupcakes with chocolate chip cookies gives an otherwise simple chocolate cupcake a creative spin. The cakes themselves are moist and light, while the creamy coconut frosting lends a layer of smooth decadence." The mixture of the almond flour and coconut flour boosts the nutritional value of these cupcakes and they are DELICIOUS! Grab a copy of Hallie's amazing book, The Pure Kitchen - 100 gluten free, dairy free recipes.

Cookbook Recipe
Carol Fenster’s Gluten Free Vegan Ginger Molasses Cookies
I got this recipe from Carol Fenster from Carol Fenster Cooks. This was Recipe #4 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. This recipe published here with permission from 125 Gluten-Free Vegetarian Recipes by Carol Fenster (Avery/Penguin Group, 2011) As Carol says, "These cookies are moist and very flavourful and are perfect for dessert. But you can also process them into crumbs in a food processor for a pie crust (about 1 ½ cups for a 9-inch crust). Adding the optional black pepper turns them into Pfeffernüsse, a traditional German treat served during Christmas holidays." Get to know Carol Fenster through her blog, her weekly menu recipe planner on GFree Cuisine. Cookbook Recipe
Celiac Chicks Gluten Free Dairy Free Peanut Butter Love Bars
I got this recipe from Kelly Courson over at Celiac Chicks. This was Recipe #5 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. These "peanut butter love bars" are SOOO easy. You just need four basic ingredients and about twenty minutes of your time, and you have a quick easy gluten free treat the whole family can enjoy. It just doesn't get any easier than this little idea. It is like diving into a VAT of peanut butter! OH! My DREAM! As Kelly says in her original post, you can keep these love bars simple, or jazz them up with some chocolate or jam. I actually thought it would be wonderful to do all sorts of variations with different nut butters, fruits and sweeteners! Perhaps a version with almond butter, chocolate, cherries and agave? YUMMO! **Or try Be Free Bakers version that she shared in the comments for those allergic to peanuts and eggs: She used 2T chocolate flavored flax meal + 5T boiling water (set for 5 mins), almond butter instead of peanut butter, and 3/4 cup honey instead of a whole cup. Then “deflate” it 1/2 way as it rises quite high, and then add 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips.

Cookbook Recipe
The Pure Pantry’s Gluten Free Dairy Free Berry Cheesecake Tartlets
I got this recipe from Elizabeth Kaplan from The Pure Pantry. This was Recipe #6 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. These Berry Tarlets are a fantastic example of her incredible recipes. She utilizes her sugar cookie mix and whips up a light creamy filling topped with juicy fresh berries to make a delicious refreshing dessert that everyone can enjoy. These little berry tarts are SCRUMDIDILYUMPTIOUS! Check out Elizabeth Kaplan and The Pure Pantry for more fantastic gluten free products and recipes. Grab a copy of her book, Fresh from Elizabeth’s Kitchen: Gluten-free & Allergy-free Recipes for Healthy, Delicious Meals.

Cookbook Recipe
Allergist Mom’s Gluten Free Vegan Carrot Chocolate Chip Muffins
I got this recipe from Sarah M. Boudreau-Romano MD, a.k.a The Allergist Mom. This was Recipe #7 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. These gluten free, nut free, soy free, vegan carrot chocolate chip muffins are a glowing example of her cooking! Moist and flavourful, these yummy muffins are an allergy friendly treat LIFESAVER for people like my niece Alexandra and Sarah's children. I made them and scoffed the whole batch with some friends last night after dinner! Thanks Sarah! Goodness and Sweetness in one bite! YUMMO! Please support Sarah M. Boudreau-Romano MD at The Allergist Mom.

Cookbook Recipe
Valentina Kenney & Cooking On The Weekends Gluten Free Chocolate Brownies
I got this recipe from Valentina Kenney, from Cooking On The Weekends. This was Recipe #8 from the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. So, through these delectable gluten free chocolate brownies, we might just get a tiny taste of some of the magic that comes out of Valentina's kitchen. I modified her original recipe to make it dairy free, and used Earth Balance and dark vegan chocolate. But you could always use butter and regular chocolate. These brownies were moist and very chocolatety! Juuuust how I like them! The coconut flour is fabulous in this recipe because it blends SO with chocolate! As Valentina says in her original blog post, "Coconut flour is also high in fiber and has a nice amount of protein. It is a very absorbent flour, so I use quite a bit less than I would all-purpose flour. And it does a great job thickening the batter without drying out the final product." Check out more of Valentina's recipes at Cooking On The Weekends.

Cookbook Recipe
Lexie’s Kitchen’s Gluten Free Dairy Free Egg Free Soy Free Vegan Scones
I got this recipe from Lexie Croft of Lexie's Kitchen. This was Recipe #9 in the 'Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. These incredible gluten free, dairy free, soy free, sugar free, vegan scones are absolutely superb. Just TRY stopping at one! I served mine with some of my 5 minute homemade vegan raspberry jam and I was a happy little piggy. Do yourself a favour and don't give this recipe a miss. The title "Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Soy Free, Sugar free, Allergy Free Vegan Magic" speaks for itself. See Lexie Croft's original recipe post for more information about this recipe. Learn more about Lexie at Lexie's Kitchen.

Cookbook Recipe
Alisa Fleming and Go Dairy Free’s Gluten Free Vegan Pumpkin Bread
I got this recipe from Alisa Fleming of Go Dairy Free. This was Recipe #10 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. This pumpkin bread is PHENOMENAL! Not only is it moist and flavourful, but it is gluten free, dairy free, egg free, nut free and soy free. I could attempt to describe how incredible this vegan pumpkin bread is, but instead I will quote Alisa's description of it, which more articulately does this recipe justice: "This pumpkin bread has a wonderfully tender (yet cohesive) crumb that hits the sweet spot in texture, not too moist, not too dry. I didn’t get out of control with the sugars, so though it is dessert-like, it’s also passable as a brunch-style treat. We loved snacking on it plain (especially when warm), or even slathered with some dairy-free margarine or nut butter." Trust me, give this gluten free, vegan pumpkin bread a go and just TRY stopping at one piece. It is absolutely TO DIE FOR!!! Check out Alisa's original post for more information about this recipe. Find out more about Alisa Fleming at Go Dairy Free.

Cookbook Recipe
Ricki Heller’s Gluten Free Soy Free Sugar Free Grain Free Vegan Chocolate “Buttercream” Frosting
I got this recipe from Ricki Heller of Diet, Dessert, and Dogs. This was Recipe #11 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. This gluten free, vegan chocolate "buttercream" frosting is a perfect example of the aforementioned superpower. It is TO DIE FOR! I contemplated "Death by Ricki's Buttercream Frosting" the other night as I struggled not to lick out the entire mixer bowl in one sitting before I had even had a chance to make the cupcakes! You can find tons more delectable recipes like this on Ricki's website, or grab a copy of Ricki's wonderful books: Sweet Freedom (one of only three cookbooks recommended on Ellen DeGeneres’ website), and her three ebooks: Good Morning, Desserts Without Compromise, and Anti-Candida Feast.

Cookbook Recipe
Learning To Eat Allergy Free’s Gluten Free Nut Free, Soy Free Vegan Avocado Chickpea Quickbread
I got this recipe from Colette Martin of Learning To Eat Allergy-Free. This was Recipe #12 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. Well this gluten free, nut free, soy free, vegan avocado chickpea quickbread is INCREDIBLE! Soft, moist, flavourful and versatile. You can jazz this vegan bread up with sweet or savoury spreads of your choice and enjoy with soup, make sandwiches, or slather with some jam with a cup of tea. I happily indulged in all three with my highly-coveted loaf. Can you believe that I had never used avocado in bread before like this? ASTONISHING....considering I have used them in everything else! LOL! Check out Colette Martin at Learning to Cook Allergy-Free.

Cookbook Recipe

Lisa Cantkier of Gluten Free Find. This was Recipe #13 in the 'Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. Lisa, thank you for sharing these berry-full cupcakes! Do NOT be put off by the seemingly involved instructions. These delicious little gems are super easy and are berry berry berry good! These gluten free, nut free, soy free, corn free, vegan pita breads are a shining example of her ability to create something that rivals its wheat-inspired counterpart! These are SO good! They are light and fluffy and hit the spot for me when I stuffed them with avocado, raw vegan hummus, cucumbers, sweet peppers, sprouts and spinach leaves. YUMMO! Cookbook Recipe
Beth Hillson’s Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Nut Free Vanilla Blueberry Bundt Cake
I got this recipe from Beth Hillson of Gluten Free Makeovers. This was Recipe #15 in the "Gluten Free Baking with KitchenAid" event. Beth says, "inspired by a recipe by Dorie Greenspan and a crop of fresh, local blueberries, this magnificent cake is as pretty as it is luscious. I serve it on a glass cake stand with vanilla glaze draping over the crowns of the cake, and a glint of the fruit peeking from the frosting’s edges. When blueberries are not in season, I use frozen blueberries, raspberries, or chocolate chips." If that description doesn't make you grab for your spatula, Beth says, "I've seen grown men cry over a bite of this, but not too many tears or the cake will get soggy!" LOL! I couldn't have said it better myself. Do yourself a favour and MAKE THIS CAKE. Men, women, and children far and awide agree; it is a stunner, a winner, and not to be missed. This recipe reprinted with permission from Gluten-Free Makeovers by Beth Hillson (Da Capo Press 2011) Learn more about Beth Hillson at Gluten-Free Makeovers.

The Baking Beauties Gluten Free Dairy Free Cinnamon Bun Cake
I got this recipe from Jeanine Friesen from The Baking Beauties. This was Recipe #21 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. This gluten free cinnamon cake is a perfect example of her wonderful baking skills. I love how dense this cake is. It is a heavier cake with a delightful brown sugar cinnamon ribbon throughout. I enjoyed it (more than once) minus the vanilla icing drizzle and it was still AMAZING. For more information about this recipe check out Jeanine's original blog post. Learn more about Jeanine Friesen from The Baking Beauties.

Cookbook Recipe
Gluten Free Recipe Box’s Vegan Coconut Whipped Cream

I served this vegan coconut whipped cream with some raw nuts and seeds, chopped bananas, shaved coconut and maple syrup for a decadent parfait. Cookbook Recipe
Ginger Lemon Girl’s Gluten Free Vegan Dark Chocolate Muffins
I got this recipe from Carrie Forbes from Ginger Lemon Girl. This was Recipe #23 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. So let's sample one of Carrie's incredible recipes. Let me say right out of the chute that these gluten free vegan chocolate muffins are VERY hard to quit eating! So just know that from the very beginning. Vegan muffins that have chocolate in them? I am IN every day of the week and twice on Sundays; and if Ginger Lemon Girl created the recipe, count me in forever! I joke, but these muffins really are that good. These vegan muffins taste amazing and are also gluten free, dairy/casein free, soy free, corn free, egg free, rice free, and yeast free. You gotta love that! Now, please note that these muffins are a bit crumbly because they do not contain any xanthan gum or guar gum. You can add 1/2 teaspoon or 1 teaspoon for a more traditional muffin texture, which is what I did. Also, for the best results, allow these muffins to rest on a wire rack to cool completely. Carrie says, "The taste of these muffins actually reminds me of an Oreo cookie. Deeply chocolate, with just a touch of sweetness." Now that revelation might get in the way of your ability to wait for these muffins to cool completely before diving in. I must confess, Scott and I burnt our tongues sampling these babies! LOL! For more information about this recipe check out Carrie's original blog post. Learn more about Carrie Forbes at Ginger Lemon Girl.

Cookbook Recipe

Add in the pecans and banana and you have got me sitting at the table in Piggy HEAVEN! Check out Heather's original blog post for more information about this recipe. Learn more about Heather at Gluten Free Cat.

Cookbook Recipe

I got this recipe from Kim Lutz at Welcoming Kitchen. This was Recipe #25 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. This apple coffee cake is DIVINE! This is really different, and has a salty-sweet flavour. The apples add a lovely sweetness and a delightful moisture to this treat that is gluten free, dairy free, egg free, nut free, soy free and vegan! I love the use of chia seeds in this recipe too. Linda Etherton & Gluten-Free Homemaker’s Gluten Free, Dairy Free Almond Cranberry Muffins
I got this recipe from Linda Etherton from The Gluten-Free Homemaker. This was Recipe #27 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. All of Linda's wonderful recipes are gluten free, dairy free, and soy free. My kind of recipes! Learn more about Linda Etherton at The Gluten-Free Homemaker.

Cookbook Recipe
Allergy Free Vintage Cookery’s Gluten Free Autumn Spiced Truffle Bites
I got this recipe from This was Recipe #28 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. These simple little truffle bites have a wonderful balance of sweet and savoury with spicy notes reminiscent of Autumn. These are rich, decadent, sweet and satisfying. Lisa says that, "the center of this amazing truffle is a rich combination of sweet and savory that's reminiscent of a thick spice cake... brown rice syrup provides the sweetness, graham cracker crumbs give it body, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves evoke autumn, and mashed sweet potatoes give it a pumpkin-y flavor and slight seasonal orange shade." Yes! Yes! and.......YES! Lisa rolled her truffle bites in powdered sugar and miniature chocolate chips. But I rolled mine in unsweetened shredded coconut and they were AMAZING! Lisa suggests putting these in tiny cupcake liners for a lovely presentation. For more information about this recipe, check out Lisa's original blog post. Learn more about Lisa Natcharian at Allergy Free Vintage Cookery.

Cookbook Recipe
Be Free Bakers Gluten Free Vegan Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
I got this recipe from Jennifer Ward at Be Free Bakers. This was Recipe #29 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. These banana chocolate chip muffins are TO DIE FOR! They are ultra moist, and packed full of flavour! These muffins are gluten free, soy free and vegan (if you use almond milk), corn free (use guar gum in place of xanthan gum and choose a glycerin based vanilla extract) and nut free (use soy or rice milk). For a flavour variation you could add nuts or berries in place of the chocolate! You don’t have to use the brands Jen recommends and uses, but she wanted to emphasize that using quality brands will get you the best results. Jen says these muffins cook up absolutely gorgeously with cast iron, but using regular muffin tins work well too. ENJOY! These are very hard to quit eating. For more about this recipe, check out Jen's original blog post. Learn more about Jennifer Ward at Be Free Bakers.

Cookbook Recipe
Wheat Free Meat Free’s Gluten Free Vegan Garlic Rosemary Crackers
I got this recipe from Kalinda Piper from Wheat Free Meat Free. This was Recipe #31 in the "Gluten Free Baking With KitchenAid" event. These crackers have a delicious flavour and texture using a mixture of almond meal, sorghum flour, and potato starch, and binding it all together with flaxmeal. Aren't flaxseeds a gift from the Gods in the gluten free vegan world?! Just AMAZING! If you have never made crackers before, give it a go! You will be surprised at how easy it is! Kalinda's crackers are wonderful with vegan dips and spreads, or with a delicious salad or soup. Kalinda says about rolling the crackers, "A lot of cracker recipes suggest that you roll the dough out between two sheets of parchment. I found that to be a big pain. But it might help if you’re having problems with dough sticking to your rolling pin. Also, don’t be afraid to use your hands to help shape the dough and patch up cracks. If you have coarse salt, a little sprinkle on top before baking would be nice." I did roll mine out between two sheets of paper because I just found it quicker and easier. But either way works! Here’s some quick information regarding how our cookbook platform works, along with a few tips for making the most of cookbooks you add to your library.

What is the Cookbook Café Platform?

Cookbook Café is our one-of-a-kind cookbook publisher, marketplace and reader. It empowers everyone to create, market and distribute a cookbook as both a web-based eBook and an iPad app. It also makes it incredibly easy for home cooks to discover and use amazing grassroots cookbooks they won't find anywhere else. Since 2012, we've published thousands of cookbooks authored by home chefs, nonprofit organizations, clubs, brands, etc. Our goal is to democratize cookbook publishing and make it easy to build an online library of amazing grassroots cookbooks.

How do I "download" a cookbook?

You don't need to "download" cookbooks or deal with any files. All of the cookbooks you select (free and paid) using Cookbook Café become available to you automatically on any device (computer, tablet or smartphone) whenever you’re logged-in to your free BakeSpace account.

When you see a cookbook you like, simply click the green "Get it Now" button. If you're not logged in to BakeSpace, you'll be asked to login (or join) so the cookbook can be added to your cookbook library. Once in your library, you can access the cookbook anytime, anywhere via BakeSpace.com, as well as our Cookbook Café iPad app.

While you're checking out cookbooks, also take some time to visit other parts of the delicious BakeSpace.com community where you can swap recipes and connect with others who share your passion for food and the culinary lifestyle.

Get ready to enjoy a uniquely smart and social cookbook experience!

Once a cookbook is added to your BakeSpace library, our proprietary recipe indexing technology makes it easy for you to find any specific recipe across all of your cookbooks… so there's no need to remember which cookbook contains that perfect recipe. In addition, you can connect directly with each cookbook author, leave comments/reviews and even ask questions about recipe substitutions, history, etc.
