As The Dutch Baker's Daughter, I am always baking up a treat. With this cookbook, I share my most popular recipes.

COOKBOOK PREVIEW (13 recipes)

Coffee Can Pumpkin Bread
Back in the '70's when I was still in high school, my sister's neighbor swore me to secrecy when he gave me this recipe for pumpkin bread. It was, and still is, the best pumpkin bread I have ever had. We baked it in coffee cans back then and I still do now, but occasionally I will bake it in mini-loaf pans as well. I have since seen similar recipes on the Internet, so I guess the cat is out of the bag...

Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread
My mother-in-law gave me this recipe almost 30 years ago. It was the first time I had tasted zucchini bread and, to this day, it is the only recipe I have ever used. Around the holidays, I like to wrap a loaf in cellophane, tie it with a ribbon and give it as a gift.

Chocolate Cake with Fudge Frosting
I originally made this cake with a peanut butter frosting and it is really good. But then I found this fudge frosting recipe and combined with this cake it was fabulous! This is the most requested item to make for work.

18 Carrot Snack Cake
Sometimes you just need a little bit of cake. Here, I adapted an old recipe for carrot cake to make just an 8" sized cake. I actually counted out 18 mini carrots, just so I could call it an 18 carrot cake!

Peach Schnapps Cake
Sometimes you just need to make something out of a box. I don't remember where the recipe came from, but the end result is really good. WARNING: Plan on taking it somewhere else as soon as you have made it---don't put yourself in the position of being left alone with this cake.

My Favorite Coffee Cake
This coffee cake recipe has been in the family for years. I often take great liberties with it by swapping out ingredients. Try changing the flavors of the cake mix and the pudding, or swirl in some chocolate syrup instead of cinnamon/sugar. However you change it up, it will be sure to please!

Orange Scented Sweet Potato Pound Cake
I was on a mission to find new and different ways to use my beloved sweet potatoes. Here I made a delicious light and moist sweet potato pound cake with hints of orange, ginger and cardamom.....perfect for Spring!

"Holy Moly Guacamole" Avocado Cupcakes
Who knew that combining an avocado and a lemon cake mix could be so delicious?!!

Toffee-Banana Bread
I'm not entirely fond of everyday banana bread, so I tend to monkey around (pun intended) with the recipes. Here, I added some chocolate covered toffee chips....yummy!

Chocolate-Pumpkin Cupcakes
I found a fabulous 4-layer chocolate pumpkin cake recipe that wowed everyone. Here, I made the cake into cupcakes, added a buttercream frosting and topped it with a little candy corn. Very cute. Very tasty.

Red Velvet Cupcakes
My MIL asked me to make these many weeks ago and I finally got to it. I searched the Internet and combined what I thought sounded best. In the end, I topped them with a buttercream frosting, but a nice cream cheese frosting would be good, too.

Banana Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting
My husband and I have always loved those frozen Sarah Lee banana cakes. They disappeared for a long time, and though I do see them in the stores again, this recipe is even better. I know this because my husband said so. :)

Pineapple Muffins with Coconut Streusel
I just love the pineapple flavored Greek yogurt and was pretty sure it would make a tasty muffin. I was right!
