All little bit about myself ...
My name is Leslie Inman. I am a professional, freelance classical singer, a personal chef and a caterer. I am THE SINGING VEGAN!
For most of my life, I was a meat eater. And a dairy eater. I spent many years existing solely on high-protein diets with very little carbs. I also felt guilty about what I ate because I love animals passionately, and I believe that when I eat them, I am ingesting the suffering they've endured in the process of becoming food for humans. In a spiritual sense, I believe this is harmful to me, and to the planet. Until we as a global community change the way we eat, we will continue to perpetuate violence, war, hunger and oppression.
Perhaps you're interested in incorporating more plant-based foods into your diet. Maybe you want to do this for health reasons only. That's fine. I do hope, however, that as you do that, you will look more closely at the ethical advantages to a vegan lifestyle. I do believe it will change your life, like it has changed mine.
This is a cookbook for people who are curious about eating a Vegan/Plant-Based diet, but who are intimidated and stuck in their meat-eating ways. I want to create and share simple and delicious recipes that are ethically sound and healthy, as well as budget conscious.
