Well our Cookover, Get together is over and I wanted to start a thread so everyone can post their pictures and comments. We are glad everyone made the effort to come to Pittsburgh. I hope you all got home safe and sound, you know Margaret is worrying about you. Thank you all for pitching in from running up and down the steps to the fridge or doing dishes. Without Spryte, I don't know if I would have had everything ready for dinner. She chopped and stirred and measured, and before long she knew where everything was. I am so glad we live close enough to get together again for cooking or just grocery shopping. Thank you so much for all your help.............thanks also, for the Margarita glasses
I think I drank a little to much on Friday night , so Michele and Cara came over a little early to help with things for Saturday. I was delighted to have them as house guests last night. Danny and I got them headed in the right direction, (with one little mishap..........my fault) and then we went to church.
We started to worry about Martha yesterday, cause she was not coming, and then when she showed up she told us she had gotten lost the night before and again that morning..............She followed Danny out to the main road and hopefully got back to the hotel last night without any problems. I'm so glad she came all the way from Rochester.
Ann Marie is the sweetest, most soft spoken person I have met in a long time. I'm sure she and Jim have a ton of pictures video to share with everyone. And we won't talk about how Jim got hooked on the Limoncello. We had it on Friday night and he loved it so much, he wanted it as soon as he got here on Saturday. I think you know we all brought baskets to swap and Ann got mine which had a jar of Limoncello in it.......................needless to say, Ann won't get a taste of it. LOL
Sheryle and Michael are a delight................I give them ten thumbs up for entertaining my mother the whole weekend. She can't stop talking about everyone that was here. I got Sheryle's basket that was full of wonderful things from Ohio............they have a treasure chest of great products from that state. Thank you Michael for helping with the dishes. Sheryle and plan to meet in Dresden, Ohio some day and have tea at the Longaberger Homestead.
Jennifer brought the newest member of Bakespace with her, her sister Kathy............she is a doll and while we were on with Babs last night she got her official notification that she is one of us. You should be hearing from her very soon. Jenny was great helping with the technical stuff for the webby thing..........she brought me the best assortment of cheese and even her homegrown garlic from Michigan..............Jenny, I hope the boys enjoyed the cupcakes.
Michele and Cara are the cutest girls you could meet. Everyone kept teasing them and asking them to talk............trust me, they where not the only ones with an accent this weekend.
DD and Jim got here on Friday afternoon with the most wonderful cake I have seen. She was so nervous to open the boxes to see if the cakes made the trip, but they did and she put it all together beautifully. Her artwork on the avatars was AWESOME!!!!! When you see the pictures you will absolutely know who everyone is..........plus the cake tasted fantastic.........3 jars of Nutella in the chocolate layer.............wasup with that?? By the end of the night, she had my mother saying WASUP into the camera. Jim also did his share of the dishes, thank you so much. They are still here in Pittsburgh doing some sight seeing. She said she will blog on the drive home and post it later, so make sure and check it out.
My friend Philly is coming over so she can have a piece of cake. You know I won't be cooking today, just reheating what's left over. Oh, I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but I tried to make some of your recipes of those who could not be here. I think there was one point when I put the name in front of the wrong dish, so I apologize to you for that.
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed having all of you here. Dan and I are blessed to have met you all, and can now call you friends. If you are ever in or around Pittsburgh, please come see us, I'll whip up a little something to eat.................. _________________ Karen

Karen--I don't really know what to say but....WOW!!!!!! You definitely have the hostess thing "goin on"!!! We were all treated to wonderful food and the most gracious welcome to your home. Thank you....thank you.....THANK YOU!!!!!
Also a BIG thank you to EVERYONE for welcoming my sister Kathy so warmly. I've told her and many others "you need to join in on the forums we have so much fun", I think we've got a new member in the forums now!
Spryte--It was SO nice to meet you. You are just how I imagined you'd be, kinda quiet and then comes to life the more you get to know someone and WICKED cool!!
Martha--So glad you made the trip yourself and hoping you made it home safely. Those hills and roads in PA got us lost quite a few times too! You too are super nice and so glad I was able to meet you.
Ann--Great to see you and Jim again. What a fun time huh?? I really enjoyed the weekend get together, gave everyone more time to visit. Can't wait to see all the pictures you and Jim took. Tell Jim sorry NO deal at the Waffle House!
Sheryle—It was so nice to finally meet Michael! He is such a gentlemen. Marguerite(Karen’s mom) LOVED you both. We’ll get you hugging yet!
Cara & Michele—Not at ALL what I expected!! You both are the sweetest girls and I totally enjoyed meeting you both. Cara is a little more quiet until she gets to know you a bit. Michele is very inquisitive, whether it was questioning DD on what color eye shadow she should wear to asking me about the “kind” of house I live in to the trapping, hunting questions in regards to Craig’s passion. They are nothing like The Housewives of New Jersey(even though I really would’ve loved to see Michele do the table flip)!!
DD—WHATZ UPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!! GIRL….you make a damn sweet cake!! I’m so glad Jim came for the weekend and you were able to enjoy your 1st weekend away in years. DD is the life of the party…I’m sure NONE of you knew that though!! LOL Bring on the margaritas!! Jim…another Jim….well he’s just a super nice guy!
Thank you all for putting up with my “eye” problem. Darn allergies are kickin my butt this year….I swear it’s not “pink eye”. In fact it looks a lot better tonight after driving 7 hours…..go figure!!! I didn’t feel like myself and apologize for not helping out more.
YOU ALL ROCK!!!! _________________ Jennifer

Babs - was fun talking to you on the w e b c a m. I was hoping Jim was right - that you were up the street in the motel letting us think you were still in CA. Thank you for putting Bake Space together...I have truly enjoyed getting to know everyone and trying their recipes. _________________ http://bakespace.com/?ann_marie_pa

Michael and I are back in Columbus, but still staying in a hotel. He let his niece and her husband stay in his apartment while we were gone. His brother is in the hospital (has brain and lung cancer) and they are up here from NC and had been staying in a place her father shares with friends....they were definitely uncomfortable there. So, they've been staying at Michael's since Friday and we decided rather than having all four of us crammed into a one bedroom apartment tonight, we would just stay in a hotel one more night. I'm going back to Oxford tomorrow and then he'll share his apartment with them until they go home next week. I feel like all I've done since Thursday is pack and unpack. LOL
As I've already said, we had a great time in PA and Karen and Dan are wonderful hosts. Michael, Mr. computer geek/snob, who doesn't understand places like BakeSpace, Facebook, MySpace, etc. was blown away by everyone. He was amazed at how people who are basically strangers and cover a wide range of ages, interests, etc., could meetup and act like they've known each other for years and have a great time and get along. I told him that we probably know each other better than some of our family and friends do who we've know forever.....at least that's how I feel.
Anyway, it was great meeting old friends: DD, Jennifer, AnnMarie and Jim, and meeting new: Karen, Dan, Margaret, Martha, Marguerite, Cara, Michele, Kathy and Jim (DD's Jim).....I hope I haven't missed anyone but I'm so tired that my mind isn't functioning well. As Marguerite said in her post, I was a little nervous meeting everyone from HH, but they were a pleasure to get to know. I do hope we can do it again!
Karen - would love to get with you in Dresden and if Debbie and Jim can make it....the more the merrier. May leave Michael behind....he was on my last nerve by the time we left PA....I don't think we travel well together....maybe too much togetherness. Your mother and I were admiring each others sandals yesterday and she noticed my toe ring and mentioned Margueite's as well....she mentioned that maybe she should have one. If I can find a cute toe ring somewhere, I'm sending her one. Michael and I enjoyed chatting with her yesterday so she was no problem at all.
I've just finished loading the rest of my pictures to photobucket and am planning on eating the piece of cake I brought home from the party and climbing into bed....I'm exhausted!
I know there are some things I've forgotten to write....maybe I'll think of it later. _________________ Sheryle

I have been trying to do that as well...but my sizing is still too big. Back to the drawing board - as I see it is possible to use! Thanks Ann!
***UPDATED*** I did it....it worked finally. I had to add it to Photobucket to work successfully. _________________
