| I love Janet Evanovich's books. They are really quick reads, and sometimes I find myself laughing out loud. They are about Bail bondsperson Stephanie Plum, her wacky family, her crazy friends and her insane love life. They start with "One for the Money" and are all numbered, most recent one is number twelve. |

| I just got done reading, "The Women of Primrose Creek" by Linda Lael Miller. She is one of my favorite authors. I also like anything by Beverly Lewis and Janette Oke. |

I just finished MOTOR MOUTH by Janet Evanovich, not in the Plum series.
I started reading THE KITE RUNNER yesterday, it's really good so far. |

I love her books. I just recently got a couple friends hooked on her Plum Series. Those books are addictive.
I haven't read Motor Mouth yet. Is it as good as the first Motor book? Have you heard when her next Full book is coming out?
I just started reading Queen Bee of Mimosa Branch by Haywood Smith. I loved Smith's The Red Hat Club and The Red Hat Club Rides Again so I'm hoping I'll like this as well.

I like many different types of books. I really enjoy reading books that also have a lot about cooking and recipes in them - most of which happen to be mysteries. Authors like, Diane Mott Davidson, Joanne Fluke, Laura Childes, etc. The main charachters are caterers, bakers, run tea shops or coffee houses. Very fun and easy reads. Right now I'm reading For One More Day, by Mitch Albom.

| Coffeeworm, I've only read two books by Evanovich. One was High Five, and at the time I didn't know it was part of her series. The other was Motor Mouth. I have 8 books on hold at the library and 17 on my shelf here at home that I haven't read yet, soooo, I doubt I'll be reading ANYTHING in a series lol! (Just like I'll never make all the recipes I save). |

I adore Janet Evanovich!! You girls have really good taste!
I also really like all the books by Chuck Palahniuk. He wrote Fight Club, Choke, Haunted, Diary and Lullaby. If you want something TOTALLY unlike anything you've read before, pick on of his books up. Some of them are pretty mature and not for the faint of heart -- fair warning! |

LOL, Chowgirlmom. I understand completely. I have a bookcase in my bedroom with "to be read" books on it. The problem with Evanovich is once you start the number series, it becomes addictive.
If you like murder mysteries, then you have to check out the website Stop You're Killing Me. The site is an excellent place to find out everything you ever wanted to know about Mystery books. It will tell you what hardcover/paperback books are due out each month. The books are crossreferenced by author, characters, location, character occupation. You can check out which books a particular author has written, when they were published and what the next one should be.
The couple who took it over recently have done a wonderful job of updating it. They have also listed which authors have won recent awards and who is coming out with either new story lines or new characters in a new line.
I like their monthly newsletters and frequently go to their site when I want to read a new author.

Cherie, thanks! I'll definately check out the website. I just finished FOR ONE MORE DAY by Mitch Albom, I'm now reading THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME. It's really funny even though it's a book about an autistic teenager. I try to break up my book reading, one serious book, one fun book.
It's cool and rainy here in Texas today, good day to read! I have two more books at the library on hold so I need to get these other books read and returned. |
