I have a 17 year old tortoiseshell calico and she is VERY talkative.
She has problems with her kidneys every once in a while, and the last vet visit they told me she has a small kidney stone...too small for them to operate. The vet said she might even pass it.
Have a good day! |

The cat that I used to have was very very talkative. So much so that one day a telemarketer could hear it in the background and said "Sounds like you need to go take care of your cat, I think it wants outside." It was an indoor cat, but talked to me a lot! Who knew it could come in handy to get rid of telemarketers? _________________ Patti

That's funny!
A friend of mine will call and M&M (cat) will "talk" to me while I'm on the phone, and my friends that is so cool. Then when my friend comes over for a visit, my cat is very shy and won't "talk." My friend tries & tries to get M&M to talk.

You just don't realize that M&M believes the call is for her.
If someone picked up your call and started talking, you'd have something to say, too...

That's funny. Here are the sounds my cats make....
Fluffy - wine- like she's dying. Especially if she sees a month.. .
Gracie - squeak.
Number 3 (still naming): a low cry.. like a baby.
I once saw a book about cat's cries and wish I still had it.. |

Cats are talkative? Like you mean they "meow, meow, meow, meow" like the commercial or something?
Sorry, I'm not a "cat" person...I only had one years and years ago but only for a short period of time.
I was just curious as to what that term meant, I thought the post was interesting |

My cat has heard the word "no" so much she can actually say it!
I guess it isn't always "meow" like people really think, cats actually do have a "cat language". Kind of cool to listen to M&M some times...but not always. |

I've got 3 "little" darlings.
Rory (16 lbs)- meows like a normal cat. All the time. He talks and talks and talks. He's the boss of the house.
Bacchus(my Siamese)- kind of howls a little. He'll stand in the hallway and howl to hear his own voice. It a kind of Moaw Moaw
Fisty (the baby, he's almost 3)- He moos, meeps, clicks, mee-at, but does not meow. He moos mostly. Yes, my cat moos. He rarely talks and I think it is because he feels inferior in his vocal presence. _________________ Good food is an art.
