HELLO EVERYONE......I've been up since 6:30, but had a few things to do Before I went to Pulma. Re-hab at 9 this morning. Really didn't feel good enough to go, this cough and this cramping is really wearing me down, but I thought maybe getting out in the fresh air and then doing some exercise would be good for me...and it was! Except I had a coughing spell while walking on the treadmill and almost peed my pants. The tech says, debra would a life-saver help..yes thank you, because these 2 cups of water I just drank hasn't. I have a call into my doctor asking for something for cough.....so maybe tonite I'll be doing better. It's a Beautiful Sunny day here, just a little bit chilly, but not too bad! I heard on the news today that we are going to have a slight warm spell for the week-end, so I need to break the news to Jim that Saturday Tiffany and Him will be working in the yard....won't he be excited? Hey he can go riding on Sunday! I fixed Awesome Chicken Quesdallias last nite. Jim and I both thought they were better than any Mexican Resturant around here! Had some Mexican rice with melted Monteray Jack Cheese in it and it was good too. Not sure about tonite...I have some rich Chciken Broth left along with about a cup of shreddered Chicken, thought about making a small batch of noodles and having that with some Mashed potatoes and a veggie. I don't think Jim would mind chicken 2 days ina row! Did everyone watch DWTS last nite? It was pretty good...not sure who I'd send home...probably Kelly Osburn. Mark (from Iron Chef) didn't do well last nite because his partner was out with the flu. My pick to win is Derick and Joanna OR Mya and Dmatri...who's your's? Now tonite I have to divide my time between DWTS and So You Think You Can Dance.

**ERIC, Sure hope today is a better day for you. Is it stress at work OR stress of your health? I loved your little comment about how you accidently scared the last Trick or Treater on Halloween nite...quit funny!

**FAN, There was someting I meant to say to you over at BC, but Now I forgot it...If I remember I'll stop back in here, OK?

**Jmgallo, I don't think I've chatted with you....It's nice to meet you, stop back in more often.

**SPRYTE, How's your day going? Hope it's a good one!

**AXEL, You know you're soooo right about.....Every day is a good day as long as you have good health....something I know I WON'T take for granted anymore!

**MICHELE, You know Before I started wearing that C_Pak for my sleep apnea...I never ever had dreams...I guess you have to be in the REALM Phase of sleep, which I never made it too....BUT NOw I dream every nite and wake up remembering most of them. Some like you said are kinda weird too. I think you ALL made the right decision about your brothers friend not doing the 10 hr. drive in one day...maybe next time she can join everyone for some fun!

**KATHY, Our locals schools are suffering from not enough funding and they keep bring different leves up to be voted on and they don't pass...they have condensed schools, teachers have lost thier jobs and all most all the Xtra actitivites have been lost...it's a shame, but citizens don't want to pay higher taxes!

**KAREN, What was the scent of the Yankee Candle you won? Our mall just got a Yankee Candle store in about a month ago and I really need to go check it out, especially since I have a 10.00 off coupon..YEA!

**DANIELLE, How's your day going? Did you have to go into work today?

Well, it's about lunch time and Jim came home yesterday, so I guess I need to take stock in my lunch supplies incase he calls and says he on his way! Hello to those still to stop in. Have a great rest of the day my friends. Hugs, Debbie

Hiya Beeps!

I tried to get on earlier but our power went out for a couple of hours! I almost panicked thinking, oh no, how long will I be totally shut down from my little world??? LOL

So I utilized my time by taking out my ca m e r a booklet and reading about the settings....again. I think I've read it cover to cover like 5 times and I still get confused. Sad My big bro has helped me a bunch, but I guess I just need more practice. Sooooooo, if anyone remembers specific foodie sites with helpful photo tips pass it along again. (I know some have been posted, but I can't remember where)

Karen - The adult fellowship of our church is sponsoring a bunco night next Friday, but we have other commitments, in fact are getting things together to bake and cook on Saturday for the things we are preparing for our Faith Promise Banquet.

Michele - To make friends, join a church where they have members of all ages and find out what they do to help the community and pitch in.

Debbie - My apologies, but here is the recipe for the Apple Walnut Cake.

APPLE WALNUT CAKE
3 cups sugar
8 cups peeled, chopped granny smith apples
4 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
4 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups sifted all purpose unbleached flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups chopped walnut

Combine apples and sugar in a large bowl and let stand. Beat eggs, oil, vanilla. Stir dry ingredients into egg mixture alternatively with apples. Stir in walnuts. Transfer mixture to a 19½ x 12½ x 3 inch greased cake pan. Bake at 350ºF for 1 hour or until cake tests come out clean.

Have a Super Day!

Aloha ke Akua,
Axel & Kathie

Michelle, I've had that same problem meeting women out here. (That sounds kind of funny! I mean meeting female friends Razz) We've lived in Michigan for about two years, and I've made a few good friends, but I still call my girlfriends and sisters back home whenever I need a girl talk. I definitely don't have enough for a bunco group! I tried joining a few groups through Meetup.com and my husband and I went to a bunch of things, but never really met anyone that we clicked with. It's weird how hard it can be to connect with people when you are married and have no kids! Seems like all of the people around here are parents or college kids!

p.s. I'm Joanna for those of you who haven't seen me here before:) And who can help me fix my avatar? I've resized photos at least a dozen times and it still won't work Sad
