**Ann, what wonderful news, that you could take two forlorn kitties into your home and heart. I always hate to think of animals in places like that. We got our cat from my step-mother, people always picked her house to abandon cats?? And our dog we got from the shelter, he had a broken ear and we always wondered if he had been abused. Those kitties will make such nice playmates for each other and of course entertainment for you and Jim.
**Fan, nice to see you stopping by.
**Tango, I woke up way too early today and now my eyes feel soooooooo heavy. I find it hard to believe that you are ever behind in anything. What with your whoooooshing around here and there all the time.
**Karen, you lead such an active life. I envy you that, where we live there is nothing to do, but most of the time I like where we live. I have never played Bunco but I used to hear a lot about it. What a scare that vet must have put in Jennifer!! Enjoy your Yankee Candle.
**Gramma, what is it about cats and boxes. Mine used to love crawling into boxes AND opened suitcases, that used to make me so mad because then I had to clean all the fur out of them! The kitty on the left looks like my sisters cat, they are both so cute. They look young, are they? Sounded like a fun way to raise money for charity. Congratulations on winning the basket.
**Nubbins, we are the opposite from you, when we moved into this house everything was brand new, we are at the point now where there is always something that needs fixed. My house is small but it seems like it takes me forever to clean it. Of course my DIL's would say it is because I am a*n*a*l with cleaning.
**Debbie, I got some Ricola cough drops at the store yesterday, honey, lemon with echinacea, it seems to help and even seemed to make my breathing a little easier. I am glad that you felt like it did you good to go to re-hab today. Our Mexican restaurants around here are all awful, so it would be easy to make anything better than them. I bet your quesadillas were really good. I wish my husband liked Mexican food like I do. He just tolerates it now and then. I could eat it at least once a week!
**Carolyn, what kind of pumpkin desert are you thinking of making? I hope you were able to find your recipe. That sure can be frustrating. The swine flu in our county is really bad. It is kind of scary. No, it IS scary. Have you watched your dog and your grandson when they are together to see if you can figure out what the problem is? Must be sad for you to have to keep him on the porch. (((Carolyn)))
**Chris, I made a cheddar crust one time for a pork pot pie. It was really good. Only two rounds of trick or treaters, that sure isn't very many. Hope you like the way your pie turned out, I am like you, never tried the cheddar with apple pie.

Cooked a nice lunch for Gary and I, prepped some things to make lasagna tomorrow, two loads of laundry and that was about it for my boring day. Funny thing though. I decided to try and figure out how to wear make up, have been reading up on how to apply eye shadow etc. Well, today was the day, I swear I looked like a raccoon in no time. Not sure what happened but there was dark blue under my eyes and I definitely did not apply any shadow there and only a little bit on the edge of the top eye lid. Guess what they say is true, you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Hello again.

Have you ever started an organizing project and made a bigger mess than when you started. Danny was putting a filter under our bathroom sinks, so I told him to put everything in a box and I would sort it out. I now have piles all over my bedroom. Good thing he's out of town, cause he couldn't get to his side of the bed. I have so much junk, I don't know what to do with it all. I started a bag of all unopened shampoos, creams, mouthwash, etc. to give to a women's homeless shelter. Too many bottles of stuff left.

Debbie, those Ricola honey cough drops really helped me, plus the Zpac. I am feeling great right now. No more cough, I got rid of the lilac pouch and the air cleaner is running at night.

Pattit, I have to keep busy, or I would loose my mind. I've always volunteered for things, when the kids where in school or mostly in church.

Kirsty Allen was just on Oprah and she siad she cleans her bathrooms with Vodka...........how funny. She said if she's flying, she takes a bottle into the airplane bathroom and cleans it top to bottom....she said it's the best antiseptic and it's not toxic and doesn't smell.

Ann - I'm sooo glad you got some new kitties. That's what really helped me when my cat died. Isn't it funny how they always seem to pick YOU and not the other way around? Baby kitties will fill your heart with so much love, that you won't have room for sadness anymore! We want to see pictures!!!
