Tango - Good Luck at the craft show. You might be surprised...people might want more arts & craft/homemade things this year. I really think that is nicer than a store bought gift.

Arrow Debbie - when do we send out our Christmas ornament box??

PattiT - I feel like a proud Mama showing off the kids pictures. Wink Smile

Jim should be home shortly. He missed his exit...whoops! Thankfully we are in-between two exits, just the first one might be the shorter of the two.

Left the kittens up here last night. They both followed me up the stairs and into the bedroom. Turn out the light and it wasn't five minutes Leo was on the bed with me. Didn't sleep good for the first 20 mins or so, he laid right between my legs, was afraid of rolling over plus don't want to spook him. Finally he came up and laid by my side. I think Willow stayed up there but she stayed on the floor, at least til Leo got down.

They are zooming around this morning. Glad they are happy and making themselves at home. Smile I know M&M is happy too. I feel a bit more at peace with her death, I still cry every now and again. But I know she is rubbing up against my Dad and she is playing with the other pets I've had.

Taking the kittens over to the shelter tomorrow night, they are getting fixed on Monday. I am really feeling bad because we have to leave them there overnight (not liking it)...but at least we can go get them back on Mon. With the trust issues with Willow...I hope she doesn't revert back to the spooky little kitten. Sad Sad

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!
Ann

Ann-Marie,

The advantage of taking them overthere for a night is apart from them getting cage rest for 20 hours, is that the kittens will not associate you with the experience of pain. So when they get back, they settle in quite quickly again. Just be careful with picking them up, they still may feel a bit soreness, especially Willow. As you described her, I think she will turn around and get bonded with you, but as Debby says much more on her terms.
I read about the TV incident, you did take care of it pretty good, but keep in mind that using a disapproving voice only is effective as long as she sits on the TV. Otherwise the imprint will be the wrong one, so as soon as she is down on the floor and comes up to you, you should reward her by stroking. That way the imprint of "people are fun" is strengthened.

Fan - Oh yeah, I petted her when she got down off the TV, told her she was a good girl. They already have me wrapped around their little paws. Wink People couldn't get over how well behaved M&M was...hoping I can do the same with these two little ones. They already know what the snap of the fingers and the word "no" means. Happy with that. They are so good. Jim is loving them up as I type. Smile

Good morning ladies. We have been so busy this week. I haven't had time to get on here much. Yesterday we didn't get home until almost 7:00 We had to install a whole new store of cards. One of our stores got a new building and we had to redo all of the old cards and put them in.What a nightmare. The store manager and her people packed them all up in boxes and didn't keep them together in the sections they needed to be 0or the locaters tickets that we keep behind them. So we had to match up new tickets or look for the type card it was. Man I am glad that job is doen. I am having my Pampered Chef party tomorrow so I need to get busy cleaning and cooking something to have at it today. krysd is coming up later and spending the night. I don't know how much cleaning we can accomplish, though. She is bringing both boys.
Ann- I am glad the kitties are getting adjusted to you. I know ours keep up hopping, along with the new puppy, Jim set up a kennel to keep him in when we aren't home. So we don't have to worry about him being in the house with the cats. and making a mess. He still loves chewing on things. Jessica is going to take him and have him fixed as soon as he is is old enough.
We are taking a couple of the kittens down the Jeanna at the ole homestead.
Carolyn- i am sorry to hear about Tracy's problems. Hope everything goes good.
Tango- Good luck at the craft show.
Fanmajie-Hi to you too. Hope you have a good day.

Debbie- Hope you had a better nights sleep
Hello to all who come in later.I had better get my day started. TTYL

HAPPY FALL DAY TO EVERYONE.........It's looking pretty darn sunny out there this morning. Jim went to the bank this morning and came back saying how Beautiful it was outside. I said yes, Perfect for Cleaning up the Yard OR Motorcycle Riding...he sorta signed! Crying or Very sad I told him it was going to be pretty tomorrow too and he could go riding then, BUT the yard really needed done and anyway Tiffany will be here to help him. I'm gonna try to go out and pull up some old dead flowers and cut done the lilies, that I haven't done yet. There's laundry on the list too....so it'll be a busy day for everyone here. Slept better last nite. Went to bed at 10:30 and woke up at 5....that's really good for me. Tiffany wanted me to go shopping with her last nite. We both wanted to get a small Xmas tree at Craft 2000 for Mom's grave....so we got one, along woth some battery operated lights, some small ornaments and a star for the top. It'll be pretty when we get it all decorated. Anyway we left BEFORE Jim got home from work, so I didn't fix the Pepper Steak over Rice, so we'll have that for dinner tonite.

**TANGO, Hope your tummy settles down too. Mine was sick a few minutes ago, but I think I have Purged everything that was making mine cramp....if you know what I mean....LOL! Good luck selling ALL your things and make big bucks...hey I always figured if I can make past the amount they charge to for the booth....I'm ahead of the game, ya know!

**ANN, How cute that your little Willow and Leo followed you up to bed last nite. I've probably told the story of Fancie sleeping on my side when we'd gop to bed and after she passed away I missed that comfort feeling for a long time. Yea, that won't hold anything againt you for taking them to the doctor for thier surgery. I wish more Pet owners woulds do that, then the Shelters wouldn't be so full! Tell Jim I said hello, I'm sure he can't wait to see the new babies and play with them! About the Oranment for the Exchange....I guess I should go over and post something about that......I was thinking at least by the first week of December...so It can be appreciated by the receiver all season long. What do you think?

**FAN, How's your day going over in the Netherlands? Are you having the SAME Season we are here in the States....Fall? Have any exciting palns for the week-end?

**PATTICAKE, I was wondering what happened to you. Then I realized that it was change out time...so I figured you were very busy! That was a very crappy way for the other people to pack up cards.....I bet if THEY would have had to un-pack them....they would have done it differently and better. Have fun and sell alot at your Pampered Chef party.

**CAROLYN, Have they already done the procedure on Tracey with those cells they found? If not when will they? If so, Prayers that they got everything and all will be OK!

Well, I really do need to get busy, I want to get a shower before I get started. I'll try and stop back later in the afternoon! Hello to friends coming in later. Hugs, Debbie

Hi everybody, have an awsome Saturday.

Debbie, we are having the same season, probably with a bit more rain. Today it was overcasted with big rain clouds all day and we had quite a few showers. Did the regular cleaning inside the house, hoping to get a chance to do some Sinterklaas shopping in the afternoon, but it kept on raining. In the end I only did a few grocery errands in my street. Bought some bacon for dinner tonight, some real peanut butter and veggies. Ofcourse took a little cat nap with Myo. So now I'm about to start cooking dinner, steamed bacon, braised mushrooms and rice. You can see a pic later on in the recipe swap.
For the rest of the weekend it'll be bills, laundry, the neighbourhood committees public relations and mailbox cleaning up [I hope]. Actually nothing exciting and all necessary.

Hello. Just checking in. Nothing much going on here today. Laura, Mike and Cocoa are out of town, so it's just me and Tyler. I took her to Dunkin Donuts for Munchkins earlier, but it's supposed to be warmer out tomorrow, so we'll probably go to the park then. I've got a bunch of apples in the kitchen I need to do something with but nobody here to eat it, so I'm gonna wander around and find some apple recipes. I think I might try freezing a small pie - never frozen one before, and maybe make an apple cake or some muffins or something.

I posed soup/bread as the Nov. challenge since it's definitely soup weather and Mike has requested fresh baked breads for fall. I had in my head to try a Mulligatawny Soup - never had it, but it sticks in my mind from that old Seinfeld episode with the Soup Nazi. I am, so far, planning to make that and try a Naan bread or something to go with it, but now I've got oyster crackers stuck in my head, so I might also do a chowder or bisque and make the crackers to go with that one. I'll probably just spend today wandering around comparing recipes. My screen is jumping, so I'll end here for now - I hate that!!! Have a good one...
