I have no clue... what makes a kitchen homey?
P.s. No one has said anything about my new avatar... what's up with that? No love? I'm thinking I'll "class" up the place. |

Very very pretty Patticake! And uh, oh yeah, I LOVE the purple LOL Makes my purple (er um, I mean "grey violet" and "black current") look dull! I really need to take some pics, still haven't taken pics of my kitchen yet. Maybe I'll do that this week.
I do want to incorporate that color of purple, or maybe just a shade darker into my kitchen. I'm kinda leaning towards a grape/wine theme. |

Thanks ddpie, I love my dining room. The flowers on the window are from my wedding 3 yrs ago.
I am going to rearrange it again pretty soon. My dh is going to tear out a wall on the kitchen side. We are going to make it kind of L shaped. We have a small bedroom on the other side of the wall that has french doors going out to the patio{Only other way to get to it is to go out the through the carport from the kitchen and walk around the back of the house]This house was built in 1965] Makes for inconvenient cookouts. There is a long closet with sliding doors in there we are going to use as a pantry and the other side I am goping to use as a small office. I will probably use it for my baking supplies. There is a gas fireplace behind my Bakers rack in the dining room that we have never used, and I have 2 china cabinets,1 with dishes and 1 with Porcelain dolls that I have collected over the yrs. I really need to get rid of some stuff.!!!LOL My dh is building a huge shed in the backyard w/ 3 rooms in it 1 of which will be mine to put all of my craft supplies in. So when he gets through with that project he can start on the kitchen. _________________ Once in a while I dream that a gigantic squirrel is carrying me away. Does that make me a NUT?

| We have a wall that seperates our kitchen and dining room. I've been threatening for years that hubby will come home one day and I will have it torn out. I would go ahead and do it (believe it or not, I've done it before) but I'm affraid my back can't handle that much activity these days. LOL besides, I can't decide if I want to keep my mobile kitchen island or build a breakfast bar....perhaps I should just start drawing plans on the wall, maybe he'll get scared and offer to do it for me, ya think? (nahhhh, just wishful thinkin') |
