|
|
I know I've been absent for quite awhile, but I'm getting back into the swing of things.
I have a suggestion for June's wine....Since it's summer....How about we do....
SANGRIA!!!!
You can choose any wine varietal you'd like and just post the recipe along with the wine info. What do you guys think?
ETA:
About Sangria (from wikipedia)
Sangria (Spanish: sangrĂa; meaning "bloodletting") is a wine punch typical of Spain. It normally consists of:
~a light, dry, young, acidic, unoaked, fruit forward red wine, usually from the province of Rioja in Spain and of the Tempranillo or Grenache varieties; other reds that work well include French wines such as Gamay or Beaujolais, and Italian wines such as Grignolino, Bardolino, Dolcetto, Freisa, or Lambrusco.
~chopped or sliced fruit (often orange, lemon, apple, peach, berries, pineapple; occasionally melon, grape, or mango)
~a sweetener such as honey, sugar, simple syrup, orange juice, and/or fruit nectar
~a small amount of added brandy, triple sec, or other spirits
and ice and carbonated soda, in some recipes

I'm so in! I know it's already June 19th... what about combining the wine tasting with a live chat this month? Maybe we can all make the same recipe and sip & chat at the same time in our new chat room? What do you think?
Who's in... and when???? |

Sounds great but I can't do it next weekend. I'm having an all girl pool party Saturday and Friday I'll be cookin' all the fancy snacks LOL
Also, I didn't realize that we were so far into June. So I'll go change the topic to June/July and we'll do it thru next month too. (if that's ok with you guys) That will give peeps time to come up with/test/post recipes. So maybe we can do a couple of wine party nights throughout July too so everyone has a chance to participate. What do you guys think? |
