I ♥ Lambrusco! and I ♥ Sangria!
I wonder if I could make a killer Sangria using Lambrusco...guess I'll just have to devote hours and hours and bottles and bottles towards experimentation, solely for the purpose of perfection...I'm just saying. _________________ Carol

<----pats Carol on the back....I like how Carol is making the ultimate sacrifice! LOL
girlichef- ya, dudette, aren't you HOT?
Dani- you prolly looked it up already, but Lambrusco is generally sweet, and very fruity, makes for a very nice sangria! As for sangria, just choose a wine and throw some cut up fruit into it....maybe a little simple syrup if your wine is too dry. Then let it sit for a couple of hours.
Babs- Michele turned me onto peach sangria last year and I loved it!!! Jim had made a white wine that was too dry....by the end of the summer I had drank a whole case of it by making it into peach sangria LOL Lemme go see if I can find that recipe.

Oh my bad, it wasn't Michele, it was Lids....
Here's the link she posted for peach sangria:

My post is at the end of the thread. I just made a simple syrup by using 2/3 sugar and 1/3 water. Heat it in the microwave then let cool. After your fruit has set in the wine a few hours, add the simple syrup a little at a time until the desired sweetness. I also made a note that if you are adding schnapps, then add it first, then the simple syrup. HTH |
