Didn't spend much time cooking last week, so it was about time again preparing a proper dish. Made a Moroccan style chicken with lemon bulgur.
What will be on your table tonight? _________________ Fanmajie

No homecooked dinner this evening... six couples going out for dinner together.
Fan - I'd love to sample your dinner.

Fan...that looks delish! I bet the lemon bulger was wonderful. Theres something about lemon thats so appealing!
Vicki....wow, sounds like a lot of fun. Was it a special occasion?
Yesterday I went to a company picnic and brought cupcakes....this is my maple cupcake topped with a candied pecan
Tip:....wait for the pecans to cool before placing on icing. doh!
Last night I made burgers. I added an onion seasoning packet to the dough for the buns and then used some italian sausage (casings removed) for the patties and melted a big ole slab of mozzarella on top.
Tonight I'm going to make a tortilla soup...only with beef instead of the standard chicken. I'll post a pic once it's cooked _________________ Danielle

Danielle, please post a pic. Never had tortilla soup, so I'm dead curious and have no clue what it is, looks like or tastes
The burger looks yummy and the cupcake looks delicious as well.
Lemon bulgur does taste very good and you only need a bit of zest and juice from a lemon. Easy _________________ Fanmajie

Danielle, your burger pic made me dive into the freezer for a hamburger still waiting there. But since I didn't have the courage to go out for a shopping run today, I kept mine to a bare minimum with only fried onions and tomato soup at the side

That does look yummy! I haven't tomato soup in a long time.
Here's my Shredded Beef Tortilla Soup
It's super spicy! And very yummy. If this doesn't kick the crud out of my chest cold, then I don't know what will. Chicken is the traditional meat in Tortilla Soup. When I searched the web for a beef version, I ran across a few...but they were ground beef and that just didn't sound good at all. So I roasted a beef tenderloin (covered in all sorts of yummy spices) and used beef broth instead of chicken. Definitely worth making again. _________________ Danielle
