This is my first post in the forum, so I hope I'm putting this in the right place.
I really enjoy baking; cakes, cookies, most any kind of dessert and breakfast pastries. I would really like to try my hand at bread but I'm not sure where to start.
Any suggestions or favorite recipes?
Thanks for the help. |

Welcome! I have yet to try my hand at bread as well... But hopefully Danielle (imstuffed) will chime in. I've had her bread... It's amazing. If you like cheesecake-- she has a killer recipe. |

LOL @ Babs....thanks for the kudos!!
Hi Homebaked....welcome to the forums!! Ok...I started making bread about 2 yrs ago. Well, I had tried a few times before that but the first successful loaf of bread I made was about 2 hrs ago. A bakespace member shared this recipe with me (her name is Ronda. She has some computer / bakespace technical issues and isn't able to pop in here right now...hopefully that gets fixed soon cuz she's a great lady) anyway....it's a no-knead recipe...super easy and waaay yummy. here's the link to my blog where I show step by step instructions....

Since then, I have gone bread crazy!!! I joined an on-line bread baking group...I have my very own sourdough starter....I swear, I make bread every weekend Let me know if you have any questions what-so-ever...I will be happy to help you out _________________ Danielle

Thank you for such a warm welcome.
I will give it a try and let you know how it comes out.
Is it like some yeast recipes when humidity has to be just right? I don't use yeast too often to know if it's a yeast thing or if it depends on the recipe. |
