Morning everyone,
Whew, August is flying by just like all the past months!!
Didn't do much yesterday, was so darned tired and achy. Took an Advil then Jim & I went over to Giant Eagle and Family Dollar...found some Epsom Salts. Came home and unloaded the car, I hopped into a nice warm Epsom Salts bath...helped a little, think it relaxed all my muscles.
We sat outside off and on most of the day. Was yucky in the morning but in the afternoon it cleared up, was a gorgeous afternoon.
Martha - that's cute about the little girl!! Wish we lived closer, would gladly give Toes to your daughter. He is such a nice cat...loves petted. Makes me sad that someone probably threw him out too. Ugh!! Poison Ivy!! Had that maybe 5 years ago, was horrible!!
Fan - bet you are glad to have your camera back. I took mine out yesterday and walked around the yard, took a few pictures of interest. Flowers, mushrooms...whatever caught my eye.
Karen - awwwwww, that sucks they messed up your flight. And they wonder WHY they are losing money.
Debbie & PattiT - did both of you get some sleep last night???
Better get around here, need to brush my teeth yet. Plus want to leave a little earlier, Jim showed me a new way to get to the hospital...it takes 8 miles off. Want to make sure I know where I am going.
Take care,

Good Morning, Friends!
What a wonderful week! Eric and Mary's wedding was beautiful and celebrated with family from the east, south, and west coasts (and in between). Saturday evening, we had dinner with my husband's and my families... my children had a babysitter for all my grandchildren. Sunday noon and evening, we spent time with more family. Most out-of-state extended family left Monday morning... more leave today. My oldest DS and grandsons leave tomorrow.
Have to catch up on the last week's posts.
Have a great day!
~~Vicki

good morning! OK, it's 10am in CA but it's still kind of early.
In about a week is our 5th year anniversary... can you believe that? But I'm thinking of celebrating it in Sept with the launch of our new feature.
Where did 5 years go?
Have a great day guys... just broke out the vitamix for the first time... experimenting, but it does take some time getting used to. |

Babette, time flies. I think I may celebrate two and a half year of having joined Bakespace soon
Vicki, glad you had such a great time
Grammadot, love the pics
Ann-Marie, I'm glad my camera is back. Now I only need my leg back
Today started kind of quiet so at 8 am I decided to stir up things and crossed the street with my walking frame to the hairdressers to have my hair washed. Luckily the hairdresser guided me back after my hair wash and stopped all the traffic in order for me to cross the street. Made a few arrangements after that and had coffee outside with the neighbours. Managed an afternoon nap and then everybody started stepping by. A colleague, food delivery and finally my friend R's daughter spoiling me rotten with a beautiful bag the family had purchased for me while on vacation in Morocco. In all a wonderful busy day, how did I ever manage these things when I was working? Looks to me I'm busier now than I've ever been before _________________ Fanmajie

Hi Everybody!
Still painting myself with Calamine lotion! (Poison Ivy!)
Lots of rain yesterday. Today & tomorrow are supposed to be nice.
I have to mow my lawn, but I can't get my mower started. Jim will be over today, hopefully he can figure it out.
Fan - you do seem busier now that you're home! That's how I feel since I retired.... I don't see how I ever got anything done while I was working!
Ann - I thought about you and your "un-ending" kitty supply! I think I convinced my daughter to keep him as an INDOOR kitty. Now she just has to get it to a vet for shots and "fixing"! (Ugh! $$$)
Grammadotcom - Great pictures! What is the theme behind the "joey" cake? The rattle snake is gross! It looks real! I'll bet they were all a hit with your customers!
Babette - Five years! Did you ever think you'd be around this long? Keep up the good work.
Dutchmom4 - What a nice get together! You sound like you had a wonderful time! _________________ -----Martha |

it is a massage table for a guy that graduated from massage therapy school.
The snake cake was for someone's 20th birthday that really likes snakes.
They were fun to do though.
I am glad to see some old friends back on here. {waving as I head back out to the kitchen}
Maybe I will have some free time this afternoon, and I will read some of the posts. I have a chocolate meringue pie in the oven right now.TTYL _________________ Once in a while I dream that a gigantic squirrel is carrying me away. Does that make me a NUT? |

Grammadot, chocolate meringue pie sounds delicious.
Martha, hope this Poison Ivy goes away quickly. Great that your daughter took in that kitty. _________________ Fanmajie
