Good morning everybody, have a smashing Friday Laughing

My weekend has started with cleaning out the living and some shopping. Salads on discount Very Happy Been searching the weather channels for Sunday's weather. I want to go to the butterfly garden on Sunday and I'll be in need of good light in order to take pics. Looks pretty good so far.
Today's weather is still a bit dull and grey.

Luckily the crocuses brighten things up a bit. And as for me, I need to check upon my neighbour and ask whether he's going to make cocktails tonight. That definitely brightens me up. TTYL.

Morning...at least it is for the next 15 minutes.

Fan - love your picture, the flowers are so lovely. Looks like you got a little sunshine today. It's sunny in Ohio too but a little cool out. Enjoy your weekend.

Not much happening here...trying to catch up on reading email, blogs, etc. Not sure what we're going to do today, doesn't look like we're going anywhere so I'll probably continue to work on coupons and finish up the paperwork I started on yesterday. No cooking today but maybe a little baking although, I'm not even sure I want to do that either.

I'm starting to feel a little hungry...haven't had coffee or breakfast so had better stop and get something to eat.

Have a great day!

HELLO FRIENDS......Been picking up and putting away. I really don't know why things can't find where they go by themselves.....LOL Laughing And if you don't keep up on it, everything starts to look a real mess! Anyway, that's what I worked on til about 11 and then Tiffany and the kids got here and we visited, ate a bite of lunch and now she's getting ready to run the sweeper. She re-arranged some dishes in my cabinets and made room for my new ones I ordered. I gave her the ones that belonged to my Mom, they are a knock off on Fiestaware. I still like them especially since they were Mom's, but just HAD to get those new ones.

Not sure about dinner, it'll be something quick. I made Roasted Pork Roast, Candied Sweet Potatoes, Buttered Broccoli and Scalloped Apples....it was really good!

After today our temps here in WV are going up to mid-80's to low 70's and by next Tuesday it'll Be close to 80....that's summer temps!

I think Jim and I are going to the movies tomorrow. Not sure which one we'll see, I know there are several Jim wants to see.

**FAN, Love the Crocus picture!! Have you recovered from your long car ride yesterday? I know you said your body ached from setting so long. Hope your neighbor can do cocktails tonite. I also hope you get to go to the Butterfly Garden.

**SHERYLE, Don't blame you for feeling like taking a break from cooking after all the cooking you've done this week. Good luck sifting through the Insurance mess...I guess we All must face the evils of the Insurance Companies.

Well, I need to get off here, I'm gonna watch the kids while Tiffany goes to Sams for water. Hope everyone has a relaxing evening and an awesome week-end. Not sure if I'll be on then. HUGS!

Hi,

Fan - nice pics. We have yellow crocuses coming up. So glad to see Spring flowers coming up. Smile

Sheryle - sometimes it's a good day when there is nothing planned, rest & relax with a book. Smile

Kind of funny, they were saying we were to have snow, blah, blah, blah...and it's actually pretty out there -- I can see blue sky and sunshine. Very Happy Doesn't hurt my feelings!! Surprised

Take care,
Ann

Hey Y'all:

Weather here--overcast & warm, temps due to go up to 81 today.

Flower report--all of my azaleas are in bloom, they are not hybrid so they all smell absolutely beautiful. Native Dogwoods are in bloom also-white flowers, there are three on my property.

Y'all take care...

Hi girls,

Big bummer, no cocktails due to tax season Evil or Very Mad . So plenty of time for going through some old recipes. I think about making a slow cooking cassoulet tomorrow. It's still nice to cook those things, cause once Spring temps really kick in, I may be inclined to fast cooking and salads.
Debbie, I have recovered from yesterday's drive. It took till tonight before all the stiffness was completely gone Smile BTW in my place there are also things that do seem to go by themselves without telling me. Wink
Cookiebakr, the crocuses are beautiful now, and we did have a few holes in the clouds, but unfortunately she didn't shine on me. Sad
Ann-Marie, I saw white ones and yellow ones too. But the orange and purple ones always looks so nice next to each other.
Nubbins, you are ahead of us. I still have to wait quite a while for azaleas.

Happy Friday night everyone!

I woke up to everything covered in white again!! But it was all melted by noon. It's 27° now... but it's supposed to go up to 60's on Sunday. Confused
I have some little green shoots coming up in the garden. I think they're crocuses... or maybe daffodils. ( if the deer don't see them... maybe I'll get to find out which!)

I met my old boss for cocktails after work today. Good to see him... haven't in ages. Haven't gone out for cocktails in quite awhile either.... I had one for you Fan!

Hi to everybody else... have a good weekend.
