Good morning everybody, have a great start of the week
This week is a short one as far as office is concerned. Friday the office will be closed. Yippieee, can't wait. I'm having trouble focusing today. Need to research some things, but can't seem to come up with a satisfaying answer. The weather was predicted to be crappy, but it is sunny and reasonably comfortable instead. Makes me fear the worst for Easter.
In the meantime the birds have become extremely noisy and very busy.
Debbie, no wonder you were exhausted yesterday. Sorry to hear Jim was called to work and your plans went down the drain. Just hope you had the chance to recuperate yesterday.
Gotta finish the last two hours of office time for now. TTYL _________________ Fanmajie

Hey Y'all:
Martha-to me they (Capy's) look like hamsters on steroids - lots of them
I have never seen any here but then I no longer hunt & they are also a water based animal, like wetlands & such and I live inland. It would make sense tho that FL is overrun with them, we are closer to South America-their original home. I don't understand where people's heads are when they import-legal or otherwise- foreign species of animals & plants into the US. Like that isn't stuuupid enough then they release the animals & don't control the plants & they take over, eliminating native species. Look at Kudzu, not difficult, it is EVERYWHERE, choking everything in its' path & impossible to remove.
DH's birthday is Wed. thinking of getting him a bunch of balloons & of course a card. He can't swallow so I can't do any of the regular birthday presents. There is no where in his area of the room to put flowers (his roommate has taken over 2/3's of the room). At least with balloons I can tie them to the handle of his closet so he can see them. Will be going to see him on Wed., without a doubt, hope he is having a semi lucid day.
He always recognizes me but within minutes he goes away again.
Gotta go...anyone heard from Sheryle???
Take care Y'all...

Hi Nubbins,
Seems to be the two of us today I haven't heard from Sheryle yet. It'll probably take some time for her getting back to us. Getting online is not an easy thing after eye surgery, I suppose. Just want to wish you and your DH a fun day despite of everything. I'll keep you both in my prayers. _________________ Fanmajie

HELLO FAN, PAT & OTHERS (maybe??)......Getting on alot later than i wanted to, but have been taking it easy today and trying NOT to set with my legs dangling from a chair, as that seems to cause them to swell worse. Laid down several times with Mr. Wedge and took a nap. I hate to sleep when it's so Beautiful outside, then set around a watch TV for awhile, then decided that no one was going to go to the kitchen and do the few things that needed done except me, so I went in there made some Ice Tea, cleaned some Strawberries, washed up a few dishes, mostly glasses, gather up the trash and got it ready for Jim to take out this evening, whipped down the counter top and stove, getting ready for dinner.....that of which I have NO Clue what I'm having. The Grandchildren will be here and I can hardly stand up, so I'm leaning towards Grill Cheese, Chips and Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. They probably want to go out and play anyway....but only AFTER Homework is done! They have T-Ball practice tomorrow evening, can't wait until their games start...they all look so cute out there in the field.
Jim made it back from being called out to work yesterday around 7 and so we still had a wee bit of day-light left. But I didn't suggest anything to do, as I know how driving that much wears him out. He told me he wouldn't make a good truck driver. I hadn't planned any dinner since I didn't know what time he'd be home and Tiffany and Mat stayed out their way because Mat needed to mow when he got off work...so I fixed us a Cheeseburger, some Cottage Cheese and Chips.
I think tomorrow I'm going to fix Lasagna....I always have thought it was kinda nice to know in advance what's on the menu for each nite....it sure takes some stress out of a day.

**FAN & PAT and anyone else who's wondering about Sheryle.......She has posted since having her surgery. It was was on March 28 th I believe and here's here post:

Just stopping in for a quick note - I don't feel like spending too much time on the computer right now.
Surgery went well, my vision is better and is supposed to improve more as my eye heals. I wonder how long I've actually had cataracts because I can't remember how long it's been since I'vve seen colors look so bright...seems like it's been ages. The surgery was actually very easy - I've had worse dental visits and the preop nurse got my IV in on the first try, that never happens.
I'll come back tomorrow or the day after and try to catch up with everyone..

**FAN, Friday can't come soon enough for ya, can it? Is it hard for you to concentrate because it's Spring time or are you not feeling well? I have been watching the birds working real hard too...gathering grasses and small sticks for their nest. Sometimes we even put out some dryer lint for them to use to soften the inside of the nest.
**PAT, Ya know dealing with the circumstances with Vernon has to be really hard. But what can a person do. I commend you for handling it and being such a strong person. I know you surely have to have times of where you wonder what's next and for those times I am always keeping you and Vernon in my prayers and hope that God id helping you cope with this time in your life. I only bring this up because of what you said when you mentioned : "He always recognizes me but within minutes he goes away again." Your plans of the Balloons sounds like something that will cheer him up and make him happy.
Well, I had better get off here. Looks like ANN and Jim must be taking advantage of her 3 days off. She sure does put in some long hours. Hope everyone has a good evening! HUGS! _________________ Debbie

Hi all,
Not feeling so good the past few days. Went to doc this morning. He told me I have a low grade fever and sinus infection --- again. Gave me a different antibiotic and nasal spray. Haven't done much for the past few days, too tired.
Take care,

Hi Everybody!
I woke up at 6:30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep! That's about 3-4 hours too early for me! (I didn't go to bed until around 3:00) So I said the heck with it and got up. I read the paper and ran a bunch of errands ( I had to return a couple of things to 2 different stores, drop off a trunk load of stuff at Goodwill and get an oil change)... then by 2:00 I was falling asleep! So me and the kitties took a two hour nap. Like you said Debbie, I hate to sleep when the sun is shinning.... it seems like such a waste!
Ann - Not another sinus infection! Hope the meds kick in and you are feeling better.
Pat - So sad about your husband. The balloons are a great idea, he will get a kick out of them I'll bet.
Fan - The birds are really becoming active around here too. It's so nice to hear them singing... it makes it feel like spring. (In spite of the frost I saw this morning!!... there's yet another reason I like to sleep in! )
Happy Monday if anyone else stops by................ _________________ -----Martha |
