Good morning everybody, have a smashing Easter Very Happy

We are back into rain showers and sunny spells again. I even turned on the furnace this morning. Yuck. I have a quiet relaxing day in mind. Actually I'm waiting for coffee in the pet shop. And after that I still have to declutter the table and start working on the eggs Wink TTYL

Good Morning, Friends!

Hmm! I was certain I posted yesterday. This morning I will be busy making my overnight brunch casseroles, salad, and vegetable dip for tomorrow. Can't wait to have my home filled to the brim!

Fan - What a lovely picture! What kind of flower is it? I turned the furnace on a few days ago. We'll probably have a bigger heat bill for April than we had for March.

Have wonderful Easter weekend!
~~Vicki

Peeps - Do you buy Peeps? Check out these ideas?

My grandchildren get plenty of Easter candy on the other side of their family, so I don't even buy it anymore.

Morning everyone,

Wanted to wish everyone a
Happy Easter today since I won't be on the computer tomorrow.

We are to have a nice day or two then colder and rainy. Sad Figures, I'm off. Confused Guess it will be good to get caught up on some reading or just relaxing.

Fan - that is a beautiful flower...I'm curious to see what it is too.

Vicki - enjoy your houseful! Smile Good to have family around when it's the holidays.

Take care,
Ann

Good morning, I thought I would get on here before I get too busy today. I got a lot done yesterday but of course there is more to do today. I want to get as much done ahead of time as I can, so I can enjoy the company of my family. My two sons who are on their way back from Colorado said that if all goes well they should be back by 7:00 tonight. So I just might have all my family here after all.
Had a frustrating Dr.s visit yesterday, when I got there I saw that everything was set up for a Pap visit. Thought it was odd, but oh well. Next thing you know the nurse hands me the gown and says that I was getting a Pap exam??? I thought it had been at least 7 years maybe more since I had one so I went ahead with it. Afterwards I tried to talk to the Dr. about the pain I am in and she didn't seem to want to hear about it, just told me to make sure and call my gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy. I asked her again about what to do about the pain, she said I will write you a new pre*scription to take the pain pill twice a day. I left being very puzzled, I was right, she would basically be cutting my pain meds in half, not increasing them. Hubby was furious, wanted to go in and MAKE them listen and help me. He said he hates seeing and hearing me in such pain.
Enough of that. Vicki, that table arrangement I wanted to do that so bad, but forgot the Reese's pieces at the store. I am still trying to come up with an alternate plan. Want to work on that today. Definitely no daffodils left for the arrangement but I have some siberian irises that would look good with my purple peeps.
**Fan, that is a very interesting flower, seems like I should know what it is, but I can't think of it. Will you be decorating eggs?
**Vicki, I am going to make up some of my side dishes tonight, so I just have to pop them in the oven tomorrow. I am thinking the same thing as you, the bill for April will be higher than March. At least we use gas, which is currently the cheapest. Hope it stays that way.
**Debbie, you had another busy day yesterday. I am sure you enjoyed the time with your family. I can't remember, are you having Easter dinner at your house?
**Pat, will you be doing anything special for Easter? I think you just might have had your Easter miracle with Vernon, it was so wonderful to hear how much better he was doing at your last visit.
**Martha, will you and your daughter be spending Easter together? Sorry if you already told us, I am very forgetful.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter, I know I will not be able to get on here tomorrow.

Hey Y'all:

Patti would it be possible to find another doctor? This one has become lazy & not interested in her patients. If she won't listen to you...find one that will. I know it will be a pain in the butt, in the end it will be worth it.

I am not doing anything special. No family lives near (just the way I like it Very Happy ) and grandson is not interested in the foo foo part of easter - just the religious side.

Got up this morning planning to go out & continue with my branch cleanup. Stepped out the door to feed the critters & was greeted with a blanket of smoke. Apparently the ranch at the end of our road was burning off a field. The smoke is finally gone at 2pm so I'll go out in a few & get started.

After the guys day out I had to take everyone home. My last drop off is a good distance away. Driving home it got dark & I was driving east in perfect alignment with the moon rising. It was beautiful & huge. A true Bella Luna....like in the movie Moonstruck with Cher. It made me Smile
Then the song the Warewolf of London popped into my head, of course I started singing it & howling. Just then that song came onto the radio.......what a surprise & perfect timing. I suddenly felt better inside than I have in 6 years...younger with no worries...I think I'm cwacking up Smile
Wish I could feel that way more often, it was nice. Even GS could tell something changed by the expression on my face.

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter with friends & family.....

Y'all take care...

Hi guys! Happy belated passover & easter!

What a week!

First some good news -- we launched in beta our "group cookbooks" which means any group can now create a cookbook simply by having the group leader pick a title, add a cover and click save. Then they will be given a link they can share with friends, family, book clubs, rotary clubs, schools, you name it! That link will lead your friends and family to an "add a recipe page" where they can simply upload their recipe to your cookbook (they don't even have to join the site to make that happen). Once you're ready to publish... you'll go through which recipes to choose and click publish. I'm really excited to see if schools and folks who want to fundraise... or maybe families use is.

This new feature was pretty time consuming so sorry I've been MIA.

We were recently featured in a great LA Times Story: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/dailydish/2012/03/cookbook-cafe.html

And I was featured in a story about being a female founder of a company: http://fueled.com/blog/in-the-kitchen-with-babette-pepaj-ceo-of-bakespace/

Now for the bad news... my cell phone was stolen in NYC while I was at IACP. I went to a private party and some guys grabbed it from me. Here's what I learned.

1) When filing a police report... always be clear about what happened. You'll be in shock, but be very clear -- otherwise they will just think you lost your phone and will delay finding it.

2) Do not turn off your phone right away. If you have the "find my iphone" app on your phone... use icloud.com to locate it. The idiots will put the wifi on at some point... take screenshots of where they are. Find my iphone does not archive points of interest. It will only show you the last know place (if the phone is turned on and on wifi).

3) Change all passwords to everything (twitter, facebook, direct tv app and your itunes or apple account).

4) Google any numbers called -- to google a phone number use spaces between the numbers like this 301 100 1100. You'll be surprised how much info is online about a specific phone number. We tracked the guys to a chicken place two blocks away from where they stole the phone -- simply by doing a google search.

5) Don't give up! While it's just a phone.. if someone grabbed $700 off the table in front of you it would be a big deal. That is how much that phone is worth. So go after those guys with all you have!

The guy actually changed my outgoing voicemail with his own voice... can you believe that? Some people are crazy.

Anyhow... it's been a long week. I hope you guys are checking out the cookbook maker -- you don't have to have an ipad to be able to sell your cookbook in the app store. If you know a group that's thinking about making a cookbook online -- this is completely free... so send them our way!

OXOXOXOo

Good morning everybody, happy first day of Easter Very Happy

I faced my eggs this morning and guess what? They faced me right back Exclamation

PattiT, that answers your question about what I do with eggs for Easter Laughing
But I had to do something about that and victimized three of them for an oven bake with salami and shallots.

That stopped them from grinning and made me an Easter breakfast.

Vicki, I have not the faintest idea what the flower is. I saw it at the flower shop and was attracted by it's beautiful contrasting colours.
Ann-Marie, enjoy your time off and have fun.
PattiT, that must have been a really frustrating visit. Definitely time to go and look for another. Have fun with the family.
Nubbins, it must have been so good finding all these small pieces of a puzzle falling together into a happy feeling during a car drive at night. These are exactly the small things that colour life despite of everything else. Very Happy
Babette, that all together sounds like quite a busy time. Sorry to hear your cell phone got nicked. Thanks for listing up the do's and don'ts. Gotta check out the links in your post later today Smile
I have planned to go to the butterfly garden with my neighbour, so that'll be fun. There seem to be some new spiders. Wink Time for me to get my camera ready. TTYL
