Morning everyone,

You won't believe this, got in my car to come home from work last night and it wouldn't start!!! Turned the key, nothing. Called security to see if someone could come over and jump it. The kid was really nice, said someone would be there shortly so called Jim to tell him. He wanted to know if the lights came on, they did. Got back into the car, put the key in, started right up!!! Called security back and told him, he teased me, said "it is Friday the 13th you know!" LOL!! Smile Was making a weird "tick, tick, tick" noise when I was getting out of it yesterday, and the locks wouldn't work. Confused Strange.

Fan - your pics were beautiful yesterday.

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
Ann

**Ann, hope you have a fantastic weekend also. Hmmm, seems like Friday the 13th was playing games with more than just me. Very glad that your car started for you and hope that there are no more problems for you. Enjoy those cute little babies.
**Fan, hmm, did you have more than one beer?? Surprised you aren't on here yet. Looking forward to seeing what you did today. I can not believe that we went from frosty morning to the weather tomorrow is supposed to be almost 90!!!

Hubby is in a golf tournament with Darryl tomorrow, I hope they don't get heat exhaustion or anything. I was going to go along and stay at Darryl's house, but Madison informed me that she was spending the day with one of her friends. I am glad I got to spend time with her yesterday. She didn't even want to go outside, we did the milk experiment that I pinned on pinterest while it was just her and I, then after dinner I told her she could demonstrate to her parents all by herself after dinner. She also decided that her and I could make hats out of paper plates and string so we decorated some paper plates.
I am noticing a lot of horse trailers going by, there must be rodeo practice today. I always enjoy watching that out our windows. I almost forgot, my son's friends from Philly wanted me to check the schedule for the rodeo and let them know when there is a big one. I better do that when I am done here.
We are having marinated chicken breasts on the grill, baked potatoes and salad for dinner.

Hello to anyone else who drops by.

Hi PattiT, Ann-Marie and everybody else, have a smashing weekend.

PattiT, I did have more than one beer Wink It was great sitting outside. This morning when the sun game up there was damp above the water. So it was a frosty night with a very quick warming up.

It is chilly, but because there's no wind it feels much warmer as the actual temps indicate.
Have fun having some you-time today. I plan on making something with chicken breasts tomorrow.
Ann-Marie, sounds like I had a lucky escape yesterday. Nothing happened. Hopefully your car was only troubled by Friday 13th and nothing else. Have fun at work.
Spent the morning doing household chores and having coffee outside. Then some lunch outside and a cat nap with Myo inside on the couch Very Happy . Now my head is still a bit groggy and I'm trying to find some courage and start ironing Laughing TTYL

GOOD MORNING GIRLS....WOW, Did I miss you All! I came here I think it was Thursday Morning and Ann you had started the day off and as I began to post, my link went out "To Lunch". Jim worked on it and did what he usually does, but this time it didn't work and he called our Inter-Net Provider and they finally got here last nite. Replaced the Modem and did a few other things, so far so good and we are even getting the Speed we're paying for.
Tiffany said she would post over on Facebook about our computer being down, so you all wouldn't worry.

Jim and I have a few little things to do today, one being writing out checks to the Federal and State for Income Taxes...we have to pay both this year...YUCK! Cody was going to mow today but it's raining and supposed to rain all day. Tiffany of course will clean house and do it in a hurry as she always has something to do afterwards. We'll be having a talk about her rush job in cleaning and all she misses.

Well, I'm going to make this short, still need to get my shower and get started with my list of "Things To Do". Hope everyone has a wonderful week-end. HUGS!

Fan - your pictures...they are so crisp & clear, like I am standing there with you. Beautiful.

PattiT - ugh, this car...need to take it to the garage for inspection. So you know "something" is going to happen to it, and it'll probably be expensive. Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad Just had it to the garage a month or so ago, they checked it out plus put the tires on, said nothing was wrong with it. Confused Hope it was just the Friday the 13th gremelins.

Debbie - some times the modems wear out...mine did. Took Verizon only two days to get a new one to me. Have had no problems with them at all.

Later,
Ann

Thanks Ann-Marie, it's the best I can do to get you people HERE in Leiden city Wink
Debbie, glad to have you back Very Happy . Hopefully your new modem is more willing to work for you than the old one. Do you want to borrow some of our sunshine for today?
I skipped the ironing for strawberry daiquiri today, but I did manage to make dinner afterwards, something I'm not always inclined to. Did the chicken liver in onion gravy again, this time with a mustard mash.

I'm brooding about tomorrow, might go out biking if the weather holds up.

Hi Girls, Raining off and on All day today and it made me sleepy so, I napped and Jim watched TV. Both of us did a few things this morning, then got lazy in the afternoon. Tiffany, Mat and the kids got here about 2 this afternoon on a tight time schedule, so I told her she could clean another day. By the time she left it was too late to catch an afternoon Matinee at the movies, so that's when the lazy bug hit us. One of Jim's Co-Workers died the other day. He's been fighting Cancer for the last few years, with it over taking his whole body. I would say it was a Blessing that God took him as he was suffering alot. I called my florist this morning and order a door wreath for his wife to take home. The girls knew her very well as she use to work with them. Anyway I order this door wreath with Happy Spring flowers on it and told her I really wanted it nice...around 50 to 60 dollars. She called me back about an hour later with news that the only wreath they could make for me was this Beautiful very full 100 dollar one, as they didn't have any smaller Grapevine wreaths. My arm got numb...100 dollars! She laughed and said BUT you are getting the deal of the year, we are still letting you have it for 55 dollars! One because that was the only size wreath they had and two, they knew her very well....so I thanked them and told them I appreciated it.
Jim is feeding the Fur-babies and then I told him it was his turn to decide dinner. I wouldn't mind going out, but hate going out in the rain as I'm so slow getting in and out of the truck. I figure we'll order in.

**ANN, Hope it doesn't cost alot to fix your car and like you said MAYBE it was just a Friday the 13th fluke! I think the Modem will do the trick, so far so good. Jim and I have a feeling it has something to do with water getting in the box on the pole and casing it to shout out every time it rains and with the rain today we'll see.

**FAN, Dinner looks good. Can't say I like Chicken Livers though....I'll pass on those and have a few of those Strawberry Daiquiris though. Hope you get some biking in tomorrow.

Gotta go, Jim got our Taxes done the other day, I wrote out checks for both Federal and State and now I need to straighten out the papers and file them. Hope everyone has a peaceful evening. Hello to everyone that stops by. HUGS!

Hi Everybody!
Temp was in the 60's today but kinda cloudy... we are supposed to get rain today and maybe tomorrow, but at least the temps will stay up in the 60-70 range. Very Happy

Was over at my mother's most of the day. Had to go grocery shopping for her (She insists on cooking her own meals instead of eating the full course meals provided in the dining room! Evil or Very Mad ) Then I took my rug shampooer and cleaned some spots she had on her carpet. (She blamed it on her cat.) So that was my exciting day!!

Jim came over yesterday and worked all afternoon trying to repair the riding mower that he bought for me last year at a garage sale. It needed some new parts and he's been procrastinating. I think I got him motivated when I had a guy come over and tune up my regular mower. He was upset with me for paying somebody, but I told him the grass needed mowing and I couldn't wait until he felt like doing it. (Men!!)

I made him a nice dinner last night. I got some beautiful steaks from Wegmans and made mashed potatoes and a salad. And I made a batch of Orange Cookies that turned out really good. And since Lent is over and he's back to drinking beer.... he was a happy camper.

Ann - Is your car working OK today? That happened to me once, I called AAA to come out because the engine wouldn't start and it turned out I just didn't have the gear shift all the way into PARK!! Duh! Hope yours was just a Fri-13th problem.

Fan - Nice pictures as usual! You couldn't have had TOO MANY beers outside if you were up in time to catch the morning dew raising off the canal!

Pattit - Ah yes, golf season is upon us isn't it? Jim was supposed to play Friday, but he wuss-ed out and said it was still too chilly. In a week or two, he'll be playing all the time and complaining about his game.

Debbie - Glad you're back. I was getting worried. Glad to hear it was only a computer problem... and a fixable one!! You got a good deal from the florist... that wreath is going to be a beautiful one, I'll bet!

Hi to anybody else who may come along...............

Good morning everybody, have a smashing Sunday Laughing

No biking tour for me today Sad . When I got up this morning it was chilly and sunny, but the wind had picked up and the sun is severely struggling with the clouds sailing over. Nice for my laundry.
I enjoyed a sunny spell having a breakfast of stuffed eggs and Parmesan cheese crisps.

Then as soon as I poked my nose outside for a walk to the supermarket, the clouds chased away the sun and my pictures have no trace of the brilliant sunlight I had hoped for.

Getting at the supermarket I discovered my wallet still being at home Mad And since my camera doesn't pay for groceries, I had to walk home empty. Typically me on a Sunday morning.
handed and go back again with my wallet. Rolling Eyes . Took my bike this time.
Debbie, that's indeed a great deal on the door wreath.
Martha, you could have called in Nubbins for mowing the grass Laughing

GOOD EVENING FRIENDS......Took me awhile to get here, I slept most of this Beautiful day away. I don't know what's wrong with me. Jim and I were watching some TV together while eating a bit of lunch and afterwards we were talking and I could feel myself drifting in and out of sleep. Felt bad for him, he probably feels like "How RUDE" to sleep when someone is talking to ya". Anyway, He said He was going to take a shower and go to the funeral home was I going and I said "No, I think I'm going to take a nap". I woke up just as he was getting ready to wake me up to tell me he got called out to work and wanted me to call his Parents and let them know we wouldn't be over today. I ask him if he took a picture of the wreath as I wanted to see what it look like and he did....I was NOT impressed with the colors that they used for the flowers, plus a big empty place where a bow should have gone. Jim said it was WAY to big to put on a door, which upset me, I mean what's a person to do with that big of wreath? I feel like calling them and letting them know I'm NOT HAPPY! I think from now on, I'll just go to the shop and pick out what I want in person.
With Jim at work and me NOT knowing what time he'll be home, I haven't planned any dinner for tonite. Might do Breakfast instead. I WAS going to make Ham and Cheese Omelets for Breakfast but we sleep in too late, so might do them for dinner.. There are several shows on TV that we watch, so I don't want to miss them, so cooking better come within the next 15 mins. LOL Laughing Looks like it might be an order in nite, I didn't realize how late it was getting.

**ANN, How's the car doing today?

**FAN, Nice pictures of food and flowers. Sorry you forgot your wallet and had to go back home to get it. At least it was a nice day.

**MARTHA, I know what you mean about men procrastinating about things, even if you spend money to do what they would have done. My Jim does the same thing sometimes. I love him to pieces, but he does do that. I usually don't hassle him because he works so much OT at his job and here I am at home doing nothing. Sometimes I need to give him a gentle push (or suggestion) in the right direction. Your dinner sounded Delish!

Well, I think I go out to the living room and turn on the TV. Hope everyone has a good nites rest, until tomorrow.......HUGS!
