Good morning everybody, have a smashing weekend Very Happy

I'm still shuffling stuff around, finding notes on recipes, genealogy and other subjects everywhere. But yesterday's dirt is gone Very Happy

and so are my bills.
I'll probably spend the rest of the weekend sorting out these notes, cause the weather is like crap. Heavy gusts of wind and a lot of rain. Yuck. No weather to be outside and nothing special going on, so I better finish the "challenge" I started yesterday Wink . TTYL

Once again, I thought I posted not that long ago? Not sure why it has been so long? Oh well, hope everyone has something nice to look forward to this weekend.
**Karen, not sure when and if I will be going to Falllingwater, I really want to get there before the heat of the summer, and while I can still walk a little bit. I have always wanted to go there. I just loved studying about Frank Lloyd Wright and his ideas of building etc. My family was from that area so I also want to see if we can find the places where we and our relatives used to live. I will definitely let you know when we finalize the plans.
**Debbie, you had asked if I got new meds, no they just doubled the dose of one. My family Dr. had told me to take it only at bedtime and I listened to her, that is the thing, when you have two Dr.s telling you different things, who do you listen to?? I have an appt. next wed with the Neurologist. I need to write down my concerns because I will get flustered and not remember anything.
I had made the cheese and bacon Fresh Takes on chicken breasts that I had cut into strips. It wasn't bad, but I am glad that it was free. I don't usually buy things like that. But I will remember that I can add finely shredded cheese to my panko and seasoning and coat things. I use panko a lot but never thought of adding cheese to it.
**Fan, they sure did make a mess of things didn't they. Anytime we have had work done here it seems like I am finding dust in odd places for months. Did Myo take offense to them being there? You certainly have been busy lately, I hope the weekend brings lots of fun things to do. I guess with the weather it will be hard to think of nice things to do.
**Pat, Pat, Pat, you are a super human, now you are taking down trees!!! I know I have said this before but woman, you amaze me. Do you use the trees for firewood then? Knowing you, you will make a house out of them or something, ha ha. Please be careful with you woodsman duties.
**Ann, funny to hear that you Mom has a tan already. I am thinking that after seeing all the pictures and hearing how much fun your Mom had that you will be joining them next year.
How did you make out with the flat tire? I hope you don't have to buy a new one or ones.
**Carolyn, good thing you got that tooth pulled, I imagine it could get real serious if not taken care of. It must be awful being in so much pain and them not being able to figure out how to help you. I will remember you in my prayers. Now hear this missy, do not make a habit of reading and not posting, we care about you and how you are doing. Got that! Seriously, don't feel like you shouldn't post, for any reason.
**Vicki, your family is probably having a great time right about now. You are such a good host/party planner. I know you are like me and really love having the family all together. I hope you will take a lot of pictures and let us see how big your grandchildren are getting.
**Martha, you baked some great things for when your brother is visiting. I hope you two have a great time and are able to catch up with each other. Have fun.

I hope I didn't forget anyone, but I am sure I did, so sorry to whoever I might have missed. It is looking pretty cloudy here. I am having to bring in my hanging plants every evening because of how cold it gets at night. I am sooooooo ready to be done with frost/freeze warnings. I guess once again, I will be watching Gary plant the garden, I really really miss gardening. I am thinking up a plan for hubby to bring my potters bench out front so that I can plant some herbs etc. where I can get to them, they would also be up where I can get the herbs for cooking when I need them. We have kept it on the deck because it is really handy to use when we have big family picnics to put food on, and their is an outlet right behind it to plug in crockpots. There is a shelf about the table that was perfect to put condiments on. I guess you can see why I am in a dilemma.
Well I think I have chattered on enough, need to get myself busy. Have a great weekend every one.

HELLO FAN AND OTHERS STOPPING IN........I got up around 6:30 and started right in with things that needed done. I felt pretty bad most of the day yesterday and didn't even feel like finishing dinner. Thought about asking Jim to mash the potatoes and get food on the plates, but he felt worse than me. Anyway, I Left the dishes, pots and pans to be washed this morning. So that was the first thing I did, no the first thing I did was Fed Andy....he always acts like he hungry in the mornings! Jim woke up about 8 and sounded terrible, I gave him a new in hauler of mine and he said it really helped him breath right away. His lungs sound full, and he looses his balance when his standing .....Off to the doctor I told him! No it costs too much money. I don't care what it cost, you need an anti-biotic. So he went, sinus infection, fluid behind his ears, congestion in the lungs and allergies to this spring pollen...gave him med, so many in a few days he'll feel better.
Anyway, because Jim is sick and the possibility of Rain is high...I called Tiffany and told her I hated to, but we weren't going to make it to the kids T-Ball game. I really wanted to go, but there will be other games Crying or Very sad

So I guess today Jim and I will just hang around, I feel lots better today, so I I'll try to read some, I'm going to try a new dessert recipe I got off Pintrest....it's called Twinkie Cake. The recipe makes a 13x 9 inch cake, but I'll be cutting it in half, as it's just Jim and I here. Then it'll be Beef and Noodles for dinner tonite.

**FAN, Boy the really did leave a BIG mess for you didn't they? I still think for them to have left a big mess like that, they should have cleaned it up. Glad it's all done though, along with your bills...those are 2 big things you don't have to worry about. By the way is that your Red or Orange bike in the pics.? Pretty cool looking bike.

Well The dog is barking and getting on my nerves and Jim said he was going to take a 15 min. nap, I don't know how he can do that with the dog acting up. Hope everyone has a good day today. HUGS!

Hello Patti, I must have been typing when you posted, sorry I missed you. We've been having the same kind of weather too....frost or almost frost thru the nite. Most neighbors bring in any hanging baskets and we cover up any flowering plans.
Hope your plans for going to Fallingwater becomes a reality for you. Sounds like you got some good ideas of what you want to do if you get there. Is it an actual tourist area and close to Karen? About the doctors...I know what you mean about having 2 doctors at the same time and neither one is on the same page and always telling you different things about the same problem...it's like who do you listen too? Good luck getting that Potters bench brought around front. It'll make you happy to at least be able to garden that thing , huh?

Gotta go, things to do! I'll chat with you later. HUGS!

Hi!

Jim told me there was a nail in the tire, they just plugged it...and it was cheaper than buying a new tire. Smile

Debbie - yeah, can't sleep when there is a barking dog. Hollered at the neighbor last night for leaving his dog bark from 10:45 til 11:45. Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad I'm too tired to listen to that.

Later,
Ann

Ann-Marie, glad you didn't have to buy a new tyre.
Debbie, that eye catching orange steel horse is my bike Laughing . Bought it almost exactly 4 years ago. Went out on Liberation Day to have a look for a walk on the festival market in my street, having no intentions of buying anything at all, but came home with a brand new orange bike Shocked I'm not really into shopping, actually I only go out shopping for small items I really need, but occasionally it completely runs out of my hands. Laughing
I agree with you, it would have been nice if they had cleaned up. On the other hand, can you imagine those blokes covered in mud and with dirty shoes to clean everything behind them and leave it spic and span, when every move they make brings in more sand? Wink
Sorry to hear Jim is under the weather and you both won't be able to see the kids play.
PattiT, sounds like a good idea moving the potters bench out front and make the herbs more easy to access. Isn't it possible to make a small one out front? Myo was wonderful with the men of the electricity company, tail up straight, high back, hissing and growling. Had to lock her up in the kitchen Laughing . And after they had left, she nested down on the couch and basically slept till midnight. She's getting old I suppose and you can tell after such a big event as yesterday's. Smile

Hey Y'all:

Pattit I wish I could make something out of the trees I cut down. The old grey mare she ain't what she used to be.
Most of them were non fruiting wild cherry trees. Can be a real pest in the yard plus they are poisonous to livestock. Figure if they can kill cattle then they could do the same to my dog. When he chases a squirrel up a tree he gets so frustrated that he can't reach it....and of course it sits on a branch just our of reach & makes noises at him. Anywho he starts biting the tree. Funny as all get out to watch.

Went to a party with my neighbor the nurse Sat. evening. The property where it was held was absolutely beautiful. The lady drew plans of what to plant where & everywhere you walk you smell a different fragrance. Been working on it for 2 years & she isn't finished.

I want one of those rugs like they have on the Lowe's commercial. Bring it out of the basement - roll it out & viola instant flowers, bird bath and landscaping. Laughing Laughing

Anyway had a good time at the party, it was the first time I have been out since dh had his first stroke. Oh the party was for my neighbor & a woman she works with, they both graduated from an online college with their BSN degrees. The best part of the party was that no one got drunk, there was a cooler of beer there but hardly anyone touched it. That was sooo nice.

Well it's 5:17am & I can't sleep again Shocked Gee my eyes will soon look just like the emoticons' I just added.

We have gone from very pleasant temps to a tropical heat wave. 70's to up to 97 deg. most of next week. Guess if I want to get anything done outside I'll have to be out there wvery early or just before sunset. The intense heat makes me sick.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Y'all take care...
