Reposting from the April, 2012 thread:
Have any of you tried this method of cooking and shucking corn?
I usually cook two ears at a time, for eight minutes (turning the ears over after four minutes). Perfect every time! Smile

Patti - Did you try this method last year? Yesterday, I went to a grand opening of a local grocery store... fresh corn on the cob was on sale.

HELLO GIRLS.....Here's the recipe for TWINKIE CAKE. Jim is a big Chocolate Lover, but I heard so many compliments on this dessert from him, so that tells you how Yummy it is.
TWINKIE CAKE
INGREDIENTS:
1 box of Twinkies
4 lg. Bananas
1 lg (20 oz) can Crushed Pineapple, Drained but Not pressed Dry
1 lg. box Vanilla Instant Pudding, made according to pkg. directions
1 12 oz Cool-Whip
Chopped Maraschino Cherries, for garnish, Opt
Chopped Pecans pieces for garnish, Opt
DIRECTIONS:
Remove Twinkie cakes from wrappers. Cut each in 1/2 lengthwise. Place them in a 13 x 9 inch pan (I use an 11x 7 pan) Cream side up. Layer sliced Bananas, Pineapple, Pudding and Cool Whip over Twinkies. Sprinkle with well drained Cherries and Pecans if desired. Keep refrigerated. _________________ Debbie
