Morning everyone,
Worked my whole shift yesterday, 12 hours. Whew, was tired when I come home. I don't know if it's the way I stand or walk, but the muscles in the back of my legs start to ache at the end of the shift...think I am trying to compensate for my feet and legs hurting so walk a bit differently.
Came home and Jim was all excited, told me that the weather guy put Leo on two more times!! The one time the weather guy says, "we like Leo, we are going to show him again." Too cute!!
PattiT - had to laugh at your comment about Leo from yesterday, I will make sure to tell him not to get a big head.
Better get around here, have stuff to do.
Take care,

Good Morning, Friends!
With temperatures and humidity rising, the inland and Lake Michigan beaches should be packed. I hope to head to Lake Michigan on a weekday/weeknight when it is far less busy. Right now, I'm in the midst of laundry and cleaning... getting ready for whatever comes this weekend.
Ann - Can't wait to see those pictures of Leo! Hope you find the source of your leg/feet pain.
PattiT - Enjoy your family time today. I have to keep an eye out for local/imported foods, too. Some venders sell fruit/vegetables with out-of-state signs as well as local signs. Otherwise, I just have to remember what should be in season.
The dryer just buzzed. Have to run.
~~Vicki

Hi everybody, have a smashing weekend
I had a wonderful sunny day with comfortable temperatures. Hopefully tomorrow will be the same
Didn't make it yesterday. After work and chores I went to the local gardeners association for a lecture on owls yesterday night with my neighbour and afterwards we took his dog for a long walk.
Ann-Marie, Leo has become a tv-celeb by now. When will his first red carpet experience be?
Vicki, I've been doing the same this morning. Laundry and ironing and the weather so totally worked for me. Got it out around 8 am and had it ironed and folded by 12.30.
PattiT, I feel for you. All that insurance stuff is complicated enough to drive one crazy. Tomorrow we will have another soccer night, the Dutch take on the Portuguese and the Germans are to play against Denmark. _________________ Fanmajie

Hey Y'all:
Ann-might be your shoes, try switching if you can.
Patti- I have started calling the docs offices the day before an appt. to confirm them. Might be a good habit for you to get into. Until I started calling I used to do the same thing.
Thank goodness the kitchen cabinet is done. Kind of used the bones of the old one & rebuilt the exterior installing doors I stole from a cabinet we had made to hold the wall oven. Getting rid of the oven & removing the cabinet. Reuse--Recycle.
Don't know what the next "project" will be...I have a list as long as my leg to choose from. Need to find something that won't cost me money to complete
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Weather here is beautiful ...so far
Y'all take care...

Good morning everybody, have a smashing Sunday
There's still some sun and I'm eager to go out for a walk before it's going to disappear.
Debbie, so sorry to hear about Andy cat. Luckily for Andy it came kind of quick without a long trail of treatments and stress caused by the vet. But nevertheless both of you will miss him.
Ann-Marie, Nubbins could have a point about your shoes. I have three pairs of real good shoes and alternate them each day. Each pair gets two days of rest after a days work. It works for me and my shoes last much longer.
Nubbins, congrats on finishing another project. How's your quilting going?
Gotta go and brush my teeth and start walking. TTYL _________________ Fanmajie

HELLO GIRLS.......I'd say Good Morning, but I only have 10 mins. before it's Noon time. Jim is still watching cartoons and hopefully he'll get moving by noontime as we need to go soon. Gotta stop at Sams before going to Jim's Parents, then off to Tiffany's by 3:30 for a cook-out.
I can't believe I posted on Friday last nite. I must have been wore out. I know I went to bed right after that I went right sound asleep, didn't even hear Jim come to bed.
**FAN, Hope you can get a nice walk in . We are supposed to have Rain this afternoon, but I'm praying it holds off until evening. It's awful cloudy and grey looking, so I don't know if it will.
Yes, I'm thankful if Andy HAD to go, that he did go peacefully with no pain. I still see him in little things I do, like this morning, I ate breakfast at my desk and he would have jumped up and set and pawl at me for a bite of whatever. This morning he wasn't there. I still need to gather up all his toys, and other things and see if anyone needs it.
Well, I need to TRY to do something with this face....wish me luck! I'll check back when I get back in this evening. have a great day! HUGS! _________________ Debbie

Good afternoon everyone. Didn't get home until 11:00 last night, I am too old for all this. My DIL decided to go shopping for a mattress yesterday and said I could stay at the park with Madison and her friend Madison, jeesh, I guess them having the same name worked to my advantage sometimes. When I would holler at one of them, they would both look, which was good because they were both misbehaving most of the day. Here I thought I was just watching Madison while her mommy went to the golf tournament. I ended up doing way more than I had wished for. I pulled my DIL over before she was ready to go to the tournament and told her that there was no way I could handle the TWO Madison's so thankfully she took the friend home. They are just so wild when they are together, I had no idea!! After her friend left, Madison and I played a couple of games and then we worked on a wreath project that she rally enjoyed doing. She took a picture of the wreath when she was done. Her and I made a pizza together for dinner. I have a boo boo on my hand so she was in charge of shaping the pizza dough and putting the toppings on. I tell you, I was sure ready to go home when the time came. I loved my time with Madison, but things sure go better when it is just her and I.
Not doing too much today, my son and his friend are coming from Philly, they want to take us out for Father's Day but I am contemplating getting some more steaks out and just eating here.
**Debbie, I am so sorry to hear about Andy cat. It took me forever to get used to my cat no longer being here. I hope you have a nice time at Tiffany's tonight, try and keep you feet up. I was at Sam's yesterday and got one of those nice gel mats for in front of the sink, I will probably end up getting one for in front of the stove also. Do you think they might help you?
**Fan, I hope you had a nice walk this morning and maybe even captured a few nice pictures for us.
**Nubbins, you have another great idea, I think I will call the Dr.s offices before I waste another trip! I love being able to recycle or repurpose something. My next project is I am going to paint the stepping stones from our parking area to the porch with glow in the dark paint. I can't really pick the stones up and I didn't want to get paint on the grass or anything, I am going to try to put plastic wrap around it. Hope that works.
**Vicki, like you, I think all the state parks around are going to be very crowded with all this heat and humidity on the way. My plan, stay inside as much as possible. Heat and I don't get along to well. I should be doing laundry and dusting, but am just not motivated at all.
**Ann, I bet you were tired after working 12 hours. I used to be able to do that but sure not anymore. Good shoes are very expensive, but if you are on your feet a lot they are sure worth their weight in gold. Wow, even more camera time for Leo, he will never be able to grocery shop again with out being recognized. The price of fame!
I cut up a cantaloupe a little while ago, think I will go get me a bowl full. See you all tomorrow. _________________ Patti

Hi everybody,
I had a swell time walking through the quiet streets of Leiden this morning . Spent two hours walking around. Needed to picture some "orange fever" cause it may be gone by tomorrow if the match against Portugal ends badly. They are playing at this very moment and the Dutch have made one goal so far. This time even Rudolph fell victim.
The orange decorations even go over the canal.
And I even noticed this little critter had dressed up for the occasion.
PattiT, it must have been a very busy day for you yesterday. Just hope you've enjoyed it nevertheless. Have fun tonight.
Debbie, keep it dry at the cook-out.

Hey Y'all:
You know sometimes it's not the cost of the shoes that make a difference. Waaay back when I worked for Home Depot I had a big problem with my feet & legs-being on my feet for 8 hours on concrete. Tried all kinds of footwear. After about 8 pairs of different shoes-new & old I tried my last pair of construction boots. BINGO ... no more problems. I guess my legs were used to the support they gave. Store manager said something about the boots & I told him I either wear the boots or would have to quit. He actually thought they were a neat/quaint idea since I always worked the lumber/contractors door. Ooops...put my boot in my mouth again.
Debbie-so sorry about Andy cat, I am positive he had a good life & a great home.
Fan: I worked a lot this weekend on the twin size rag quilt & just put it in the first wash about 1/2 hour ago. Started "clipping" the seams about 11am today. The material is a dark green with narrow cream plaid. Still have 2 more bolts of homespun-one red-one dark blue. Need to get my hands on a bolt of unbleached muslin for a reasonable price but in the meantime I could go ahead & cut out all the squares.
Has anyone noticed how much our Cul Al. resembles his father (pictures in featured recipe)??? Looks like a clone...but updated with a new modern look.
Y'all take caqre...

Good Evening, Friends!
Fan - I watched the last half of the game... what a disappointment! I always enjoy seeing your pictures of "orange fever."
Pat - You have so many projects. One of the projects on my list is to repaint all my kitchen cupboards, and repaint the bathroom. The bathroom is the challenge... tiny room with a lot of corners. Great idea about the construction boots.
((Debbie)) - How sad about Andy the cat.
PattiT - You certainly did have a busy day and evening yesterday! Did you have fun with your son and his friend today?
Sweet Dreams,
~~Vicki _________________
