Morning everyone,

Up early this morning, what a beautiful cool morning. So quiet right now.

Pat/nubs - Jim Cantore was talking about FL yesterday, said because it's so flat the water really has no place to run off. Strange, every year FL is suffering for NO rain, the past week now FL is under water. Sad Can't imagine the flood damage a lot of people will have.

Didn't do much yesterday, was too wiped out. Plus we've been letting Willow & Leo up at night for the past week or so. Leo will come in at 5-5:30 AM and head butt me or nibble on my fingers. Rolling Eyes Told Jim last night to put them in the basement, need to get caught up on sleep.

Did go up to Thrifty Shopper yesterday to drop off a trunk load of stuff. Then we went in...and there was a 50% sale going on! Glad we did go in, someone must have gotten rid of a lot of cooking magazines. Found 2 Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade, 2 Cooking with Paula Deen, 5 Taste of the South, 1 Taste of Home Cooking School Brand Name, Pillsbury Spring Get Togethers, Bisquick Most Requested Recipes, and 2 Better Homes and Gardens magazines --- they were marked for 59¢, so got them all for like 30¢...paid $4 for all those magazines!! Shocked Very Happy Very Happy

Came home and got the car cleaned out, what a mess...sand everywhere. Jim sprayed off the floor mats for me, they are still hanging out on the deck rails. Sat outside on the deck for the most part and looked through the magazines that I had bought. Came in around 3, laid down on the couch (was exhausted), slept til 3:45. Was tired all day.

Have today and tomorrow left for vacation, sure went fast.

Take care,
Ann

Morning Everyone,

It is going to be another beautiful day here.....sun, hot, and some humidity. I sat outside last night and watched the Pirate game and the breeze across the deck was wonderful. Almost needed a little lap blanket. The Sabika sale was a bust yesterday. They had a group buy things in the morning and when our group got to go in there was nothing I was interested in left. They said they were re-stocking, but I didn't see them put anything out. Very disappointed.

Pat, I hope you dry out soon. Too bad some of that water couldn't be sent to Colorado. Did you see how many homes were burned to the ground? I knew that Featherweight Singer was too good to be true. Those things don't go for less than $200. I'm hoping to find one at some out of the way flea market or garage sale.

Martha, that is something I'm always worried about, spilling something on the computer. I hope you can get it cleaned up with out too much trouble. If all else fails, have another Gin and tonic. Wink

I'm going to pick up 22 dozen cookies I ordered and then drop more things off at church.

GOOD MORNING GIRLS.......Had a good nites rest, only up once then right back to sleep. Sure makes you feel alot better the next day. I have already folded my last load of laundry, but went through all of Jim's T-Shirts, put alot of them in a Wal-Mart bag, need to do something with them, I'll see if Jim wants them for Rags. When I get finished here, I'm going to the kitchen and make a Meatloaf for dinner, some Cheesy Potatoes for dinner and then I have a couple Chicken Breasts I think I'll chop up and make a small bowl of Chicken Salad and if my energy level hold out I'll make a small bowl of Macaroni Salad too. I have some stale Bread I would love to make Bread Pudding, but I know I won't get to it today. So besides being in the kitchen most of the morning, I'm not sure what else I'll get into today. I have been going through our clothes sorting out what fits, what we wear more often and etc, so I might work on that.
Yesterday Tiffany and the kids were here til about noon. Tiffany cleaned and Cody mowed and the rest of the little ones watched cartoons. I hung out back here in the office and got bills together to pay after they left and the house was quite.

**ANN, I so wish I had just an ounce of your energy! It's been many many years since I've been able to clean like that. I bet you and Jim are happy it's done. Boy you sure hit the jackpot with all your cookbooks/magazines for such a cheap price! Lots of good reading, huh? When you were telling about Willow and Leo waking you up in the morning, I so wish I had Andy back in our life. Every once and a while I think I hear a meow and look to see him and there's nothing there. I miss him so much!

**KAREN, It' s cool that you can set out on your deck and watch the games. Who won the Pirate game? A good idea to go to the Jewelry sale, too bad it wasn't what you expected. Sounds like the food organizing is still being worked on...keeps you busy!

**MARTHA, Did you get your keyboard dried out? That's always a worry of mine too!

**PAT, Worrying about you and the High Water! I haven't heard of any rain in your forecast, so praying that will give it a chance to reside. I was thinking to myself, I can't imagine why WITH the Emergency Animal Feed order, put in a couple packs of smokes, OK? They might have done it under the circumstances.

**PATTI, What a cute little note that Madison left for you both! She's so thoughtful. Is she excited about swimming starting up again? Your Sister is a very sweet and giving person. It's a sad thing that some people do not appreciate her. So how was the movie? Did you girls feel like you were back in the 80's again?

Well, I hope I haven't forgot anyone that posted today or yesterday. I need to get to the kitchen and get started before I talk myself out of doing anything. So you ALL have an Awesome day and I'll be thinking about ya! HUGS!

Hi Everybody!
I'm up early this morning... got up at 6:30...haven't done that in a long time! Just couldn't sleep and I didn't want to take a pill at that hour!
So I'm buzzing around keeping busy to keep myself awake.

I took one of my flower boxes (I have about ten 4' X 8" plastic flower boxes that I got at a garage sale a few years ago) and I cleaned it up good. I'm going to take it over to my Mother and give her a flat of annuals to plant in it. She misses digging around in the garden, so I'm going to put it on her balcony and she can have some dirt to play in.

Nubbins - Thanks for the tips on fixing my keyboard. I'll try it later and let you know how it worked. I hope you don't get any more rain... it sounds scary! At least when it snows around here, I can shovel my way out.... but flooding I couldn't handle! Shocked

Ann - This week is really flying, isn't it? You've been so busy, you didn't even see it flash by. Good deal at the Thrifty Shopper... I hope you didn't bring home as much as you dropped off. Speaking of your cats.... must be the phase of the moon or something: mine were climbing all over me during the night too. My big one walked around my pillow, stepping on my hair and everything... I said "What is this - Grand Central Station?"

Karen - Good luck with your party!

Vicki - You're really busy today! See... Ann is a bad influence - she's got us all working to keep up with her!

Pattit - How was the movie?

{{{Debbie}}} - I still have nightmares every so often about M&M. Had told Jim about your Andy, he teared up and told me to tell you how sorry to hear about Andy passing a way. Later in the day, he says to me, "Do you think Debbie would want Toes???! At least if we gave him to her, I would know he would have a good home." Have wanted to call you about this, but know you needed time to grieve for Andy. Have been wanting to take Toes to Orphan Angels for months, just haven't taken the time to do so...maybe there was a reason???!!

Martha - too funny, "bad influence." Very Happy It's such a good satisfying feeling knowing the house is clean from top to bottom. Jim is cleaning the oven right now, guess he caught the 'cleaning bug' too. Wink

Just hanging out on the back deck reading a Debbie Macomber book. Did you hear/read that her series of books will be made into movies for Hallmark?? Hope the movie is as good as the book.

Later,
Ann

Hi everybody, have a great day Very Happy

Hopefully your day isn't as mucky as mine. The weather was extremely warm and overclouded with threatening thunderstorms, but they got blown away by the wind each time. Spent 4 hours in trains for a two hour meeting and lunch at Tilburg University. Rolling Eyes
Yesterday just when I wanted to leave the office an emergency popped up. We got a phone call from the director's secretary to check upon our "estate chickens", cause one of the workers from another department had found a seagull chicken on the ground in our office garden. So we counted our chicks and they were all there. I rushed down with the camera and looked at the chicken they found and it was a smaller one than our "estate chicks". Turned out there was a couple of seagulls too at roof of the adjacent house with one chicken and that one had fallen into our office garden. Luckily it was unharmed and we were able to put it back on the roof where it belonged.

This pic is really funny, the finder and the secretaries of the Director's Board cooperating to put the chicken back on the roof Laughing while mum is waiting.

Ann-Marie, great shopping. Do you think Toes can become getting used to indoor life again after having been outdoors for such a long time? It sure would be nice if Debbie could give him a home, but if he has difficulties getting used to an indoor life and starts "refurbishing" the house, the idea may surpass reality. Myo has never been outside, but being the offspring of feral parents, she still tears my curtains to pieces occasionally and preys on the couch instead of the scratch posts to get rid of the cooked up energy. Not to mention the uncontrolled playful bites gone wrong and scratches on my ankles.
Debbie, hang in there. I know you must miss Andy cat. And I'd love the idea of you taking in Toes, only be aware that he'll never be like Andy but very much his own cat personality.
Gigi, sorry to hear you couldn't bring any lute home. Good luck with the reception. Smile
Martha, go for Gigi's advice. Another Gin and Tonic please Wink
Nubbins, glad to hear you are saved with fags Smile and a boat. Keep my fingers crossed for the groceries and fodder.

I think I'm gonna hit the shower, it's still hot and very humid. See you all tomorrow

What a busy day this is for us. Had to be at a specialized breast center this morning for a 6 month check up. Had the first set of mammograms done and was thinking, glad that is over with, when the girl came back in and said the Dr. wants another set done with even more magnification. Got dressed and waited to speak to the Dr. he said there is a lot more, what he is thinking is calcifications, but he wants to recheck in 6 months and do both breasts then. He showed me what they looked like, he said I had one in 2010 and there were now about 10, he said they had very clear borders though so it didn't look like cancer. I am so glad that you know before you leave now what the findings are, I used to hate to have to wait sometimes two weeks to find out how things turned out.

Next stop the grocery store, step inside and hubby says you know we are only shopping for a couple of days, right? Oh my goodness, if looks could kill, he watched me spend hours making up the note and going through the coupons the night before, you would have thought he would have mentioned it before we were in the store. Then he tells me, no need to get things for our July 4th family picnic yet either, he wants to get it all at the same time!!! I just think that gives us more chance to forget to buy something important, but hey, what do I know.

Ran in to the Dollar Tree to get some spray bottles for my homemade cleaners etc, and a bottle of hot sauce to use in my deer repellent. Gary's trick did not work, something ate the one tomato that was almost ripe.

Gary is out spraying the deck with the sealer and I am re-doing and re-doing the laundry trying to get some color out of the clothes that bled from a pair of shorts. So far, no luck.

Next, we are off to a home swim meet of Madison's. I am sure after that I will be ready to fall into bed.

Almost forgot, the movie was not what I was expecting, but it had its moments and was alright. I thought it was a little risque for the little boys I saw sneak into the movie for the last 20 minutes, I told my SIL we should go down and cover their eyes when they were showing the girls in a "gentlemen's club."

**Ann, made out real good with the magazines, lots of new cooking ideas huh.
The beach always wants to find its way home with us doesn't it?
You are right it was nice and cool this morning, but it has sure warmed up since then.
Rest up, you soon have to go back to work.

**Karen, I guess the Pirates beat the Phillies last night. I think our deck sitting and porch sitting will be over for a while. The 4th of July I know the men will stay outside but I am sure the women will all be in here.
A shame that they didn't restock for the jewelry sale.

**Debbie, I hate to tell you but it will take a long time until your mind will quit playing tricks on you with thinking that you see or hear Andy. It does get easier though and soon you will be thinking that you are silly to be thinking you see or hear him instead of being heartbroken when it happens.
You sure sound like you got bit by the bug that bit Ann. The cleaning bug.
I have way too much bread that I put in the freezer because it was stale, to do something with later.
Funny thing about the movie, about 1 minute into it my SIL said, if it going to be loud like this I better take a couple of Advils. It did bring back a lot of memories.

**Martha, what a wonderful idea for your Mom. People just don't realize that if you are used to gardening and have to give it up you really do miss it. I am so glad that I have some hanging baskets and my herbs on my potters bench.
I hope you had good luck with your keyboard.

Gotta go, see you tomorrow.

Ooops, took me too long to post, I missed Fan. So glad that the chick was okay. You girls are brave, I have been dive bombed by many a mommy bird thinking I was out to harm her chicks. I hope things went without incident.
