Good morning everybody, have a great day Very Happy

A sunny pic despite the lack of sun from a rainy Leiden today. The colour of the flower still gives the pic a sunny feeling, I suppose.

Not much going on here. Today is pre-election day, tomorrow I got to vote. Elections are far from as spectacular as in the USA, so no big stories either.

Good Morning, Friends!

September 11, 2001 - What a day! It was even a Tuesday (like today). I was at home when the first plane hit, away when the second plane hit, and was home when the planes hit the Pentagon and Pennsylvania field. Eric came home from school (junior high), and they had watched news reports in every class. Now, many under 15 years old have no memory of this day.

Remembering those who lost loved ones, and thanking those who serve(d) stateside and overseas.

Fan - Thank you for sharing your lovely photo... brilliant yellow flower and the transparent wings! I'll leave the "bug" pictures to you. Smile

~~Vicki

GOOD MORNING GIRLS....9 o'clock and I just got up...must have been tired! I think I'm getting a cold from setting out watching the Fireworks the other nite and I even wore a sweater! It looks like another beautiful day today, not sure what Jim and I will get into, maybe a Movie. Today is his last day to stay home, as he goes to the Orthopedic doctor tomorrow and he knows he will release him back to work. Jim says he's getting use to hanging out with me and Kujo..LOL! Yesterday Tiffany and the kids came over after school so Cody could mow, so I figured I better fix dinner. My Heart just wasn't into cooking though. But I did manage to fix a 1/2 Ham, Cheesy Potatoes, Corn, Biscuits, oh and I cooked some pkg. Noodles because the kids like them. I wanted to try one of the many desserts that I saved from PINTREST, but I had no energy to do that. Kujo is out in his room crying to go out and tinkle, so I had better wake Jim up...he was getting up anyway.

**FAN, Love all the pic. of the flowers you've been posting.

**VICKI, Oh I so remember that morning of Sept. 11th! Such a horrible thing. Tiffany and I were talking about that last nite and Avayah's school is doing something (I can't remember what) for 2 hrs in honor of the that day. I told her I think it should be considered a NATIONAL DAY! One to show our support to those still over seas fighting and to those that lost their life that day!

**ANN, Animal Cruelty Is so uncalled for. I'm with you....why do people do such horrible things to poor defensive animals! I say prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law!

**PATTI, No Make-Over for me on Saturday. We ran out of time to go go the stuff. Have you had a chance to Google the Nero-Stimulator? Sorry I didn't get more info. from my Brother. Sounds like everyone had a nice time celebrating your sons Anniversary. Madison I'm sure look very pretty!

**PAT, Good thing you are so handy around your place. That pluming job you did would have cost you several hundred dollars. Glad your road is fixed too.

Well, time to let Kujo in so he can get Jim out of bed. He likes to play that game. He got a little routine built up now and he won't know what to do when Jim goes back to work. You ALL have a Beautiful day. HUGS!

Vicki, for me it was Tuesday afternoon and I was on reading room duty in the Chinese library. It was very quiet, until one student came in and frantically started to search the internet for the latest updates. He told me about the planes hitting the buildings.
Debbie, enjoy Jim's last day at home. How is his leg doing now?
Ann-Marie, just read the article about the paintings. Really sad to see how cruel people are towards animals.
My brain went ahead of me to the office this morning, had to run after it and made me forget to take some meat or chicken from the freezer. Rolling Eyes So dinner turned out to be vegetarian Smile . Spaghetti with zucchini sauce.

Hello girls, I too remember that day well. I always watched the Today show in the morning but for some reason did not have the t.v. on. My son (who works for the military) asked if I had seen the news. I turned it on and my blood turned cold. I just couldn't believe it was real. Such a terrible tragedy performed by such cowards, killing innocent people like that. On my trip at the end of the month my sister and I plan to visit the memorial in Shanksville. My mother graduated from Shanksville High School. Where the plane went down used to be the family farm of my aunt. The heroes on that plane that kept that plane from reaching the White House were just normal every day people who in a moment decided to change the course of history and thank God they did.
Madison was sick today so after her Dr.s appointment she came and stayed with me. Her Mom was going to a concert tonight so I made dinner for Darryl and Madison also. I made beef and broccoli over rice. Funny thing is, hubby asked why I had thawed out so much chicken and I told him I didn't know what I was thinking. Turned out really nice that I had enough meat thawed to feed us all.
**Fan, your pictures are so detailed. I think your pictures capture things that I wouldn't even be able to see if I was there in person. You can be glad your elections are more low key. I get so annoyed by all the people calling, mailing, on t.v. about the candidates. Those tomatoes in your meal really brightened it up. I wouldn't have minded that as a meal.
**Vicki, I think Sept. 11, 2001 is burned into my memory like 3 mile island, and the day President Kennedy got assassinated. I only hope there will be no more such days to come.
**Debbie, I did check out that neuro transmitter. I have so much stuff implanted in me now, I just can't imagine risking anything else being put in my body.
Sorry that time ran out for your makeover. Maybe another day.
I can't believe it will be time for Jim to go back to work. It will be so lonely for you and Kujo. I sure hope you are not coming down with a cold. I remember how bad you had a cough last year. Your dinner sounded wonderful. I am really hungry for some ham

Hubby and I are going to watch a show about the Amish so I have to go.
Hope everyone has a good evening.
