Morning everyone,
Wow, we had some big winds during the night...could hear the chairs on the deck getting moved around. Lots of leaves came down because of the heavy rains and wind. Glad we went to NY when we did.
Got most of the house cleaned, Jim can do upstairs tomorrow and do the sheets on the beds. Mr. Fix-It also needs to check out the kitchen spigot, it's dripping. Hope we don't have to buy a new one, that one isn't that old.
Would you believe our phone rang at 3:30AM!! Scared the you-know-what outta me! Wrong number.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Ann-Marie and everybody else, have a smashing day
Last night was extremely quiet and cold, with locally some night frosts. I took a wonderful pic of the canal this morning.
Martha, you can move in but are you sure about coming this way? Winter is coming here too.
Ann-Marie, who's a bigger help Lady Gaga or Jim? _________________ Fanmajie

Hey Y'all:
Received a call from Qui Tuesday nite.....a thunderstorm moved thru her area & lightning struck close to her house. Blew out her computer, so until she comes up with a solution she won't be here to visit. She had a whole house surge protector & it apparently didn't work. Thank goodness the puter was all that got zapped.
Weather & temps here are great, 50's at nite & 80's during the day....Love it.
Gonna go cut the grass...
Y'all take care...

Good evening friends. I think I have everything for my wedding gifts now. I got a card, wrapping paper, tissue paper, bows ON CLEARANCE, always a nice surprise. We went to Wegman's to stock up on green beans, it was hard not to look around but I knew my legs could only stand so much and we had a lot to do today. We had lunch at a buffet, yuck, but hubby loves them. Then stopped at the butcher shop on the way home, I told my BIL that the only way to see him lately is to come to the butcher shop.
Hubby is out hunting deer with his crossbow. I think we just had official sunset so he should be on his way soon. I kind of hope he stays and talks with his sister before coming home. If I didn't have such a headache I would have went along to visit. Not sure why I keep getting these headaches.
**Ann, it was kind of windy here this afternoon, I didn't hear anything over night. I hope Jim can fix the faucet for you, they just don't seem to be as easy to fix as they used to be. Oh my gosh, that is a heck of a time for a wrong number, it would have scared the heck out of me also.
**Fan, when I saw the photo I thought what a beautiful night time picture. I can't imagine walking or riding a bike to work when it is that dark. We are supposed to get our first hard frost tonight. I think it will kill the last of my flowers in the flower bed, always a sad time.
**Nubbins, you make mowing sound exciting. Your weather does sound fantastic, now I know why so many people spend the winter in Florida. Poor Qui, I guess she is lucky that she only lost the computer, but to lose anything is sad. Let her know we are thinking of her and hope she gets back on line soon.
I keep meaning to tell you, when I was at the Flight 93 Memorial there was a guy there with a table set up with all kinds of information about architects and engineers challenging the whole official reports of fire causing the collapse. I thought of you and what you had said about thinking it was very poorly designed.
**Martha, I sure wish I had windowsill that get sunlight and are large enough to put plants on. The only big windowsill I have is a bay window that doesn't get sun because of the porch roof.
I just feel like we are being gouged by the prices of apples, bacon etc. I buy local so why are my prices going up because of troubles in the mid-west?
Guess I will go find something to eat. It is 7:30, I think I have put it off long enough. _________________ Patti

Hey Y'all:
It's a beautiful day, in Dogpatch FLA
Where beautiful folks, do things in a beautiful way
First we rub the sleep from our eyes
Get some grub & shoe way the flies
Enough of that...Now that song will be stuck in my head the rest of the day
Pattit I will pass on your message to Qui.
Re towers, the intense heat created by the burning aviation fuel in my opinion melted the purlins supporting the floors, when they were no longer there to support the floor...the concrete started dropping. There was a concrete garage that collapsed in Miami a few days ago, will be interesting to see what they blame that on.
I do enjoy cutting the grass...gets me outside & it looks so good when you're done.
Ah yes, our winter guests....Snowbirds...our downtown streets are starting to clog up with then already. Saw a bumper sticker last winter on a bubba truck....So many Snowbirds-so few bullets. They give a boost to the merchants here, but a lot of them forget where they are & stay just as rude as where they came from. I smiled & said good morning to one in the grocery store & she had a fit. I explained she was no longer in New York (accent obvious) she was in Live Oak & here people always smile at everyone they see & ask how are you or good morning. She needed to slow down & just observe the people around her, then respond in same. She'd be amazed how it would change her life here in the winter.
I left her with have a blessed day, & continued my shopping.
People....sheesh
Love being able to turn the ac off at night & open a few windows. My bedroom window will stay open all winter, will close off the heat vent in that room.
There is a morning dove in my birdbath splashing & having fun.
Will have to go out & refill the bath for all the other birds.
Y'all take care...
