Morning everyone,

Looks like we are to get some snow towards the end of the week. Smile

I am getting tired of green & muddy Christmases.

Off to work shortly, curious to see how many critters we have.

Fan - on one of the shopping channels they had a Canon Sureshot 500IS for $259, and the pictures they were showing were spectacular. The optical zoom would be the only reason for me to buy it. Anything happens to my Fujifilm, I would invest in one of those. Smile

I am very satisfied with the Fujifilms, have never had a problem with them and they take fantastic pictures.

I was laying on the floor taking pictures of Leo under the tree, Jim said some thing about Toes seeing the tree. Told him to let him in, Toes just came in, looked at the tree with big black eyes then went and drank some water. Guess he wasn't impressed. Surprised

Better get around here, need to leave shortly.

Good Morning, Friends!

The excitement is building. I can hardly wait until Sunday or Monday, when the family will be together. And, we're starting a new family tradition: a family portrait every year we're together. In a couple years, Eric and Mary will be off to unknown Army locations.

I apologize that "Christmas cards" were not sent this year. A lot has been going on, and will "continue" for the next few months. I will try to stop in as time allows.

Hi everybody, have a smashing start of the week Very Happy

My start was early and busy. I managed to finish all of the things on my to do list Very Happy

, hairdresser included. He did quite a good job trying to cut away my "ash blond" hair Laughing

. Cooked a huge batch of "snert", probably too much for my small freezer. It took me almost all day cooking it the old fashioned way, so I had to come up with something else for lunch. A quick tagliatelle alla carbonara solved that problem.

Vicki, that's a lovely thing to do. I wish my family had done that more often. The only family pics I have are from weddings and other occasions.

It looks soooo yummy.

Been thinking about what it costs me to visit dh using Big Blue. A tank of gas is about 65.00 Shocked

Decided to look into renting a car from Enterprise (only game in town) for a weekend. Went onto their site via AARP member benefits page....ready for this one......$40.28 Very Happy

This covers from Friday noon to Monday noon....300 miles no charge. So...guess who has reserved a little car for the weekend after Christmas?
Right ME. I have always wanted to rent a car. Never have. To find out I can rent a car I don't have to worry about breaking down cheaper than a tank of gas in the truck is a no brainer.

Good news for a change YAY.

Ann - Oh oh! Toes is IN THE HOUSE!! While he wasn't impressed with the tree, I'll bet he loved the warm and dry part!! Are you sure the "house kitties" wouldn't like another one??

Nubbins - That is an amazing price on the rental car. There are sometimes coupons in the phone book for discounts and if you're a member of AAA you can get discounts too. Maybe it's time to think about getting rid of Big Blue the Gas Hog?

Fan - Sounds like you are keeping yourself busy! Ok, I'll be the first to ask.... what the heck is SNERT???

Vicki - How lovely to hear someone say they are EXCITED about the coming holidays!! Great idea about the family portrait. BTW I was having that problem with ads popping up on certain phrases..... I ran all my anti- spyware programs and it cleared it up. I can't remember where, but there's someplace where you are "allowing" adware to put that stuff. Check your settings.

Turned in the keys to my mother's apt today. They did a walk thru and said they would refund her full deposit. Thank Goodness!! So that's finished... now maybe I can concentrate on Christmas! Still haven't put up my decorations or made any cookies!!
