Morning everyone,

Pat/Qui - thank you for all the updates on Pat/nubs. When you talk to her again, please tell her "hi" for me. Smile

Well...so much for being an inexpensive trip to the garage. They found a ton of other things wrong with it...glad we took it in when we did -- could have lost control while driving or have the engine blown up. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes A lot of major things wrong, as you can tell. Now Jim will have a good car to drive to work.

Off today but lots of projects. Smile

Take care,
Ann

Good Morning, Friends!

Last night, we had a lovely soup dinner and game night with my mother-in-law. Today is well on its way with loads of inside work and paperwork... definitely won't be bored. Can you tell that rain is in the forecast? I can't complain... it has been a lovely autumn. Smile

Ann - I will definitely pray for your friend, Louise. It's too bad that rain washed out your trip. YIKES, all the information about your car!! Sad

Pat (Qui) - What a joy to have you regularly posting. Thank you for suggesting ideas regarding turnips. Smile Also, thank you for keeping us up to date regarding Pat (nubbins).

Fan - You definitely had a drippy Monday, with a drippy errand. Sad Is the rain leaving today? Hoping your day improves today. Smile

PattiT - Is your October usually warm enough for you to get tomatoes this late? You have certainly processed loads of tomatoes. YUM! Smile

Tango - What a lovely dinner! I'll be checking out your recipe!! Smile

Carolyn
- I have no fall decorations out either. And like you, we have already started raking. Do you have a special chopper for your leaves? Smile We don’t, but bring bags to the city.

Greetings to all who pop in!
~~Vicki

Hi everybody, have a great day Very Happy

I finally made it here. Just returned from a meeting of the Neighbourhood committee and ready to tuck in.
Vicki, great pic. Looks like you are still having summer if it weren't for the colour of the leaves floating on the water. Today was drippy too, but I was armed with an umbrella Laughing
Ann-Marie, good you took the car into the garage in time. Have fun today Very Happy

Hey folks...

car will be safer, weather will be weather, and food and friends will always go together...

Pat was discharged today - I checked the hospital...I didn't call because I know she must be exhausted...but she will have access to her computer...so...send away...I know she will love hearing from everyone, even if it takes her a week to get up to speed...

In the kitchen...I made stuffed shells tonight -- stuffed with chipped steak, onion, pepper and jack cheese...with a bit of marinara on top...sort of a Philly Cheese Steak Shell. -- they are also good with corned beef and cabbage with a vinegar brown gravy - or any other leftover meat...try meatloaf and green beans

Good evening girls, long day for me, except for the nap I got in today. The neuro Dr. Put me on some new medicine that will make me tired until I get used to it. I decided to wait until closer to bedtime before I take it again, at least for today. The Dr. Is going to battle with the insurance company some more for me to get the MRI I need. We also found out that the pain clinic I used to go to does not participate with my insurance do I will have to find one that does. Enough about that.
I got all the tomatoes and peppers in the freezer, when hubby came in with a box more. Vicki, no we usually do't have vegetables still coming from the garden this late. I could not believe how many more peppers are growing on just one plant.
Ann, that is a shame that you had so many car problems. They are never cheap. I hope your projects all went well.
Vicki, I love to stand by and just listen to babbling brooks like the one in your photo. Sounds like you had a very nice evening last night.
Fan, I am glad you checked in before you turned in. Sounds like it was good that you had an umbrella with you today.
Qui, thanks again for keeping us posted on Nubbins progress. Once again I am thinking you are very creative in your cooking. My husband would have loved your dinner.
Hubby wants to FaceTime Madison and I am on the I-Pad so I need to go.
See you all tomorrow.
