I don't mind a pretty picture of snow, so here you are ladies.
Where is our newest member?? I hope she comes back. Ann, I am guessing you are working today, hope it goes quickly for you.
Hubby comes home from deer hunting in NY today. Saturday he thinks he might go hunting bear! I always get nervous about that. I have told him that if he gets one, we have to get a new house because you just have to have a fireplace to put the bearskin rug in front of. Right?? I am making him some brownies to take to work tomorrow, no real plans other than that. I am sure he will be returning with lots of laundry to be done, sigh. I was enjoying the break from laundry. I guess it is a fair trade off, having my hubby home, in exchange for dirty laundry.
We got some wicked winds and rain over night the howling wind woke me up! Nothing compared to the poor people who had the tornadoes.
I will try and check in later, till then have a good day everyone.

Hi Everybody!

Jim is back from his deer hunting trip too. He doesn't really hunt, but his buddies got two deer... a buck and a doe. He said he didn't sleep the whole time because 3 of the 5 guys snore really bad. Laughing But I guess they had a lot of fun - male bonding and all that.

We got that wind last night too! And heavy rain too. It's still pretty windy but the temp is in the low 40's.

On Friday I made a apple pie and a Kentucky Butter Cake for the Elk's Club. ( The pie came out so picture perfect, I hated to part with it! And the cake is a really buttery tasting bundt cake drizzled with frosting. I'm really enjoying having someone to bake for every week.

Hi Martha, PattiT and everybody else, have a great day Very Happy

My hot water supply is running again and I just enjoyed a veeery long shower. Myo got upset about it, probably thought I was drowning my self in the cabin. Laughing Laughing The repair man cleaned my heater too, so I'm all set up for the winter cold.
Martha, sounds more like a snoring party than a hunting trip. Did he bring back some of the lute? Glad you have some wonderful consumers for your cakes and pies. Seeing people enjoy what you have baked is even more rewarding than baking it.
PattiT, I take a bet on lots of dirty laundry instead of a bearskin when your hubby returns. Saw the footage of the tornados today, just as we are having a national charity action for the victims of the super tornado in the Philippines over a week ago. My heart goes out to all of them.
