Hi everybody, have a great evening Laughing

I'm about to call it a day, it's getting close to 11pm. I've been very busy with my grocery runs and I'm pretty much back to being stocked up and well prepared for the winter that isn't going to arrive for another two weeks at least according to the weather forecasts. Laughing . Tomorrow is going to be a sunny day with temps close to 50F. I plan on going to a kind of Christmas market near the town hall. Weird going there with almost spring like weather. A Christmas market without snow Shocked. Wink

Hello girls. I had some rather bad luck yesterday, but thankfully it happened at the best possible moment. I went down to the Dollar General store at the end of my road, then swung by the butcher shop less than a block away. I went to back into the driveway and as I was diagonal across the road, the truck just died. I was panicking thinking I had both lanes of the road blocked. I saw that the neighbor boy across the road was home, he works nights. I knew that if I pounded on the door he would come and help me. I figured before I woke him up I would try to see if it would start, it would start and shut off in just a few seconds. By restarting it and trying to get it into the driveway I was able to get it off the road. I am so glad that I hadn't gone to get my haircut like I was thinking about doing. I would hate to have had to try to get it towed home. The other thing I was lucky about, I hadn't been able to get my seatbelt on for some reason, if I had ended up diagonal on another road the chances of me being hit would probably been a lot more likely and with no seatbelt on it could have been bad.
My son came and got me to look through his garage to see if there was anything I wanted before he got rid of everything. I found so many mice nests in boxes and he said when he went back there was a snake skin in there that was over 6 feet long. I didn't take two much, no room for anything. I did bring home two rocking chairs that were Gary's parents. They fold up and I always liked them. They will be handy for times like Christmas eve when we need extra seating.
**Ann, lots and lots of critters! Any plans to meet up with siblings for the holidays?
**Fan, I really loved the Christmas markets in Germany. They were such fun places. We are supposed to really warm up over the weekend, between higher temps and rain the snow will be gone in no time. From being in the teens to maybe almost 70 is a ridiculous change in temperatures! They have a nice Christmas market in Bethlehem PA that I was hoping to get to this year, but with Gary going on this trip there just won't be time. I am sure people will be there in shirt sleeves with these warm temperatures.
Hubby called a little while ago, they are running an hour late due to snow. They are hoping to stop in South Dakota for the night.
Guess I better go figure out what I am having for dinner.
Have a good evening everyone.
