hi to everyone... been a rough week, but I have survived it.

And the elf said "ha! you just thought you'd have it all done on time"
So much for Christmas plans... Razz

I have sent 0 cards.
I have wrapped 0 gifts.
I have eaten everything I baked. I didn't bake much.
My best laid plans are still laying there.
And I have a very bad case of the So What's.
The 1 gift I have to send is still sitting on the shelf, waiting patiently.
I have brownies in the oven - because I need a chocolate fix.

I think I'll have a glass of wine.

HAVE A GREAT DAY AND A SUPER WEEKEND...

Qui, sorry you are having such a rough time. Seems like a lot of people just aren't "in the mood" this Christmas. I need to get busy wrapping and decorating or it will never get done.
Two calls today and it seems luck is running bad for my family. First call, hubby and son are stuck in South Dakota, rig won''t start, they think it might be that the fuel gelled because it is one degree. They tried to jump start it and that didn't work so they are waiting now for someone to come take a look at it and see if it is something that can be fixed, hopefully. Second call, the buyers from my other sons house called and is having a fit that the garage is not totally cleaned out, and the trash is sitting out on the curb. Son called to see why the trash was not taken and they thought he had cancelled the trash service, which he had not. He has a guy coming at 2:30 today to take the riding mower etc. out of the garage. He is thinking he might end up paying for a dumpster to come get all the trash. He doesn't want to pay for that if he doesn't have to. I hope the day turns around for everyone, including you Qui.
I will check back later and see how everyone is doing.

Hi Qui, PattiT and everybody else, have a brilliant weekend Very Happy

PattiT, thanks for the hug. I needed that. The so-called Christmas market was a disappointment. It looked nice enough from above,

but the content of the stalls was rather poor. Mainly fast food, drinks, glühwein and regular stuff. There were only 6 or 7 stalls with Christmas items. The best thing were the two small alpacas in the children's petting stand.

Sorry to hear your sons and hubby are running out of luck. 2013 seems to have a vicious tail.
Qui, brownies and a glass of wine is one way of getting a rough week behind you. I think I might join you. Went out to get a last Christmas present today, but could find anything nice, I have still two items to sent to Japan too and off course they will never arrive in time. But it also means that things can only improve for next week Wink Cheers

Hi Everybody!
Whoa! Seems like nothing is going right around here!! Sure hope it isn't catchy Very Happy . Qui's idea of a brownie and a glass of wine gets my vote!

The weather here is getting weird. The temp is in the low 40's and the snow is melting so fast that they issued a flood warning. (I live on top of a hill, so I'm not affected) Right now there is a thick fog. I thought it was snow until I checked the temp! It is supposed to rain today and tomorrow.... then by Monday it will be snowing again. Shocked Then all this flooding and rain will FREEZE! Tell me again why I don't move to Florida... or better yet the Caribbean!

I've been furiously making Christmas cookies. My daughter took 2 trays of them to work, then came back the next day for more. (I'm famous at her job for making cookies!) Her fiance took a tray to his job and Jim took some to his weekly "guys coffee meeting". I made 16 different kinds, about 3-4 dozen of each. With my new mixer (early Christmas gift!) it was so fast and I didn't burn a single cookie! Yay! My favorite ones were Oreo Truffles dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with red and green (holly) sprinkles. I am packing up the last of my stash to take to the Elk's Club dinner tonite.
Whew! That was fun! Making cookies is my favorite part of Christmas.

After being snowed in for the last week, I'm ready to go shopping! I still have a few gifts to buy. Hi to anybody else who stops in....................

Hubby and son were able to get underway, the fuel had gelled. The garage brought some heaters for on the bottom of the rig and one for under the hood. Hubby and son went back inside the hotel and had a leisurely breakfast until the rig could be started.
Other sons day took a strange turn, after being told to clean out the garage by the new owners, the realtor called while he was at the garage and was told the new owners want him off the property and to not come back!? Luckily he had already loaded his riding mower, he left so quickly that they had to pull over and strap things down when they got down the road. He didn't get all his belongings which is a little sad, but I told him that if the new people are going to be like that, then he can't be expected to get everything cleared out and they will have to deal with it. All in all, things will turn out best for him in the long run, and his bedroom set would be a fair trade off for not having to deal with clearing out the garage etc.
I have all my wrapping supplies out, now I just have to get busy wrapping.
**Fan, I hope you had some gluwein for me. Sorry it turned out to be such a disappointment.
