We are down to 13 critters with two going home today and one tomorrow. Shocked Shocked I'm sure we'll fill back up within the week, we normally do. Smile

We've been getting snow since Tue, we had some major snow showers and squalls, couldn't see anything across the street at work, yesterday it was just a light snow all day and that is what they are calling for today. Wonder what the storm totals will be by tomorrow? Each day was 2 to 4 inches, last night they were saying 8 inches by this morning.

Hope Debbie is ok. Thank you PattiT, for keeping us informed.

Not much news really, the weather has been keeping us indoors so no pictures yet. Sad

Take care,

Good morning & Happy New Year to all!!

Stayed home made 2 appetizers, one had a change up!! I wanted pigs in a blanket but forgot to get crescent rolls?? So I searched google & combined some bold & spicy cocktail sauce with brown sugar, coke & soy sauce & let it simmer with the cut up hot dogs, ymmm!! The other was jalapeno popper wontons. I made a big pot of meatballs & sauce for yesterday! I also made some Pina Colada Cupcakes, mine didn't rise like the picture?? Flavor was great!!
Update on my medical crap!! I got a new urologist here in town!! It's been 5 months of constant kidney infections & Chapel Hill & here have both been going around in circles. They haven't told me everything & they are NOT fixing the problem??!! I'm so tired of it!!! So this new Dr. did a LoopaGram & found out there's a kink in the ureter from my left kidney!!! Which means the left kidney is not draining & there the infection sits & festers. So 3 weeks they put a drain in my back & I'm feeling much better!!! YAY finally a solution!!! So tomorrow I go in at 9 & have a stent put in & the drain removed!!! I'm so ready for it to come out it hurts & having another bag on me is not fun!! So Praying this works & I can stop being poked, prodded, visiting the ER & hospital stays for awhile!! Plus since this drain has been in I'm eating without getting sick & sleeping better!! I have been miserable, crabby & witchy!!

Love & Prayers out to All!!
Love Tango

Hi Ann-Marie, Tango and everybody else, have a smashing Friday Very Happy

Tango, sorry to hear you have been so miserable for such a long time, but yet very glad you checked in. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and hope this will end your troubles.
Ann-Marie, 13 critters almost sounds like a holiday at work Wink Drive safely out there with all that snow.
My baker seems to be doing okay, the baby is born and staying in the NICU. Both are stable. My neighbour asked her father this morning and of course forgot to ask if it was a boy or a girl. Men Confused Confused

Debbie is headed home from the hospital today. They don't want her to catch something in the hospital. I hope her health will begin to move to doing better in this year. She certainly deserves to be healthier.
**Ann, we are getting snow right now. I am sure glad we don't get the amounts of snow that you get!
**Tango, you also surely deserve some easier medical times ahead. I am so glad that you were able to find someone to finally figure out why you were so prone to these infections. Who wouldn't be crabby with all you have been through? I am so glad that you stopped by and let us in on what has been going on with you. I was really concerned but didn't want to pry. I hope all went well with the stent today. Please come back here real soon.
**Fan, glad to hear that the baker and her baby are doing well. Hopefully you will here if the baby is a boy or a girl soon.

I got Madison's spa day all arranged today. I hope everything meets her mother's approval.
I have been taking it easy today. I have been dealing with a cough and wheezing for about 4 weeks now. Hubby is threatening to make me go to the Dr.s. I don't want to go and get antibiotics unless I really really have to, I am allergic to almost all antibiotics so I don't want to use them unless I have to.
I made a mushroom pizza for us to have for dinner, what is everyone else having.

PattiT, sorry to hear you are being bothered by cough. Get well soon. Thanks for the update on Debbie. I'm glad she's being released, and I really hope her health will take a turn for the better this year.
Lucky little Madison, having such a sweet granny. It must be every girl's dream having a spa day Very Happy

Hi Everybody!
I've been staying at my daughter's house while she was spending the holiday in Texas. Whew! I'm so glad to be back home. Not that her fur babies aren't very well behaved.... but I've been dying for my own bed and my own kitties! I've been away for 6 days!

We are buried in snow here in upstate New York! Luckily my daughter just got back before they closed the airport! It's about 18 inches deep and snowing like mad! There was a total white out on the way to pick her up at the airport! I was so scared! But now We're all safely home and I'm ready to be snow bound here for at least a few days.

I don't know whether I should bake for the Elk's Club tomorrow or not. This week's dinner might be cancelled if the weather keeps up. I guess I'd better bake tonight and just hope I can get it to them tomorrow. Someone requested that I make a cheese cake... but I've never made one before. I'm scared. Anyone know if it's tricky to make or not? I would hate to waste all that cream cheese and have it come out an embarrassing gloppy mess! Let me know if you have any tips!!

Glad to hear Debbie is coming home!

Pattit - Hope you'll be feeling better soon. I have to tell you that I agree with your husband! 4 weeks is too long to go without having a doctor take a look.

Ann - How's your weather? You're not getting all this are you?

Fan - your noodles look yummy!

Tango - You poor girl! I'm so glad you found a doctor who knows what he's doing!! I really hope this does the trick!

Well.... Hi to everybody else. Stay warm!!
