Good Morning, Friends!

I have been on the run since last week. Monday topped it off. All our immediate family plus my mother-in-law celebrated my youngest son's birthday... six adults with six grandchildren! Smile (Note: All present except my DIL in med school.)

I also have a couple projects for the summer. First, riding my new (used) bicycle! I haven't ridden a bicycle since high school. Second, learning a keyboard. I played a piano through high school, too.

Ann - Your iris certainly brightened my day. My yellow irises have bloomed already, and my violet irises are blooming now.

Fan - You certainly had a hot day in and out of your office. Our heat and humidity finally broke last night. What a lovely picture you shared.

Patti - You must be enjoying the beauty of your clematis and daisies. And, so proud Madison's talent at the swim meet.

Good morning Vicki and anyone else who checks in today.
**Vicki, taking up bike riding and piano, how nice. Sounded like you had a great family gathering. Having 6 grandchildren must have been so much fun.

I need to get ready and go to the butcher shop to stock the freezer again, looking kind of bare in there. I need to stop on the way home and get something to kill the ants that are starting to come inside. They seem to want to come inside every spring,
Vicki I surely am enjoying all my flowers and our veggie garden is doing will also. We have never grown cauliflower and I am glad that I checked out a website about growing them. I thought you pulled back the leaves to let the sun bleach them white, it is the exact opposite, the heads need to stay covered so they will be white. I guess we learn new things all the time,
Have a great day everyone!
Very Happy [/img]

Morning everyone!

Vicki - sound like you had a really fun time with the family.

PattiT - I remember when we had big gardens Mom fixing the cauliflower leaves so they wouldn't get browned, that they would be white. We had a huge pantry in the basement and I can remember being full every Fall so that we could eat fresh veggies all winter.

We've been having problems with ants too...Jim sprayed near the deck doors but he'll have to do it again...near the kitty food bowls too, we'll move them to the other side of the kitchen 'til that stuff dries. Hate ants in my house. Confused Evil or Very Mad

Has been rather warm and humid here...not complaining!! After that cold harsh winter this warmth is welcomed. Smile Nice to be wearing shorts and tank tops again. Very Happy

Have scrubbed the kitchen floor and cleaned the basement up a little bit, did a little laundry. Now it's time for some fun! Need to decide on which park I want to go to and walk around for a little bit before the t-storms settle in again this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Hi everybody, have a wonderful day Very Happy

I enjoyed the roses on my way to the office Smile

They are really beautiful right now. The weather was still beautiful this morning and my world in the water at it's best.

But in the afternoon it all changed with clouds coming in, the rain luckily waited till dinnertime giving me just enough time to run home after work and get my laundry indoors. For dinner I had Indonesian style fish from the fish monger served with green beans and rice at the side.

Ann-Marie, sounds like you are having a blast today. Don't get a sunburn like me if you are wandering around in tank tops and shorts. Rolling Eyes .
PattiT, congrats on Madison's victories and records. Very Happy
Vicki, so typically Dutch Laughing Laughing Riding your bicycle again. Take it from me it's a wonderful work out, and especially a very good balance exercise. The keyboard shouldn't be too difficult since you already played the piano.
