Good Morning, Friends,

I had a busy weekend. First, I stopped at the Farmer's Market... asparagus, kale, and lettuce available. Mmmm!

I also stopped at garage sales on the way home. One of the items I saw was a USA made Dutch oven spider, with lid, instruction manual, and recipe booklet. How nice... but $75!

This afternoon is going will be fun and busy... four grandchildren while the youngest has a long doctor's appointment for allergy testing.

Wishing you a blessed day!

~~Vicki

Good morning Vicki and everybody else, have a great day Very Happy

Wow Vicki, no wonder you checked in so early Wink . Those four grandchildren definitely will prevent you from taking an afternoon nap. Laughing
I had a wonderful morning starting with ironing a batch of laundry in the backyard. Needed to do it early cause there are some T-storms coming up. Then I decided to make a short bike ride to a "natural flower" garden, set up in a patch of land next to the railway station and tracks. They made it into a kind of free haven for bees and other insects by putting in wild flowers and let the weeds grow in there too.

Wished there were more small patches like that. Cause the bees and other insects are having a hard time in our super cultivated gardens.
The sun is gone by now and I'm busy waiting for the T-storms, pondering about what to have for lunch and having to put up the sun screens Laughing Live can be so busy at times. TTYL

Good morning everyone. I thought I would check in quickly before I head off for the Dr.s. More epidurals today, I hope it will relieve some of this pain.
Madison's team won all three of the games this weekend.
We had a nice time yesterday at Darryl and Ann's pool, I thought the water was freezing cold but hubby and Madison stayed in a long time. Just as the last person left the pool, the rain started. Ann's Mom came over for dinner, we made marinated pork chops, Ann had bought some scalloped potatoes and some broccoli and I made a French vanilla bean cake with raspberry icing. It was all very good.
**Vicki sounds like a busy but fun day for you. I am guessing that it is a little early for strawberries for you? Anything special you have in mind for the Dutch oven spider?
**Fan, that is exactly what we do with the bottom of our yard, it makes a nice sanctuary for the birds also. Your picture is beautiful. Ironing, blech, I avoid that, doing it only once or twice a year.

We had a good bit of rain over night and it still looks pretty cloudy. Hubby and his friend have plans for fishing this afternoon, so I hope it stays dry enough for them to get that in.

Guess I better get myself ready to go. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Just stopped at a supermarket for discounted fruit: purchased fresh bananas, red grapes, and green grapes. The store discounts any ripe fruit, perfect to serve today. All ready for the grandchildren. Smile

Fan - What pretty wild flowers and weeds! I usually visit some country (vs. city) parks to see this. Smile Our storms are predicted tomorrow evening and Wednesday.

PattiT - Hoping you find pain relief as you head to the doctor's office. The Dutch oven spider would be great directly on the grill coals or a campfire. However, I have a number of cast iron frying pans of various sizes already. So, I won't purchase something that costs so much. Sounds like you had a lovely time at Darryl and Ann's yesterday. Smile

Fan - No garden fresh strawberries for another week or two due to our frigid winter. Can't wait!
