Sorry Vicki...I just seen your question about my "OLD STOVE" Yes it works perfect. I guess that's why I haven't ran out and bought another one...I rather spend my money on the grandchildren instead! Take care...Debbie

Nice stove Moni, I would love to have a grill on the side!

Oh, and Vicki, you had asked me a question too, and I spaced it....

Yes, I do use my bridge on my electric alot. I used to use an iron griddle, but with the smooth top, I invested in a stainless non stick and it is wonderful. Having a family of five it's put to use often!

Linda -
Can't wait to hear how you like your oven, especially with all your holiday baking.

Moni -
A Jenn-Air! I have always wondered if I'd use the grill very often. Do you? How is the oven different than your gas oven?

Debbie -
Glad your stove is in such good condition. Some of the older stoves are missing the current electronics, which definitely has its good side - less things to break.

Ddpie -
I already have a couple pans that would fit on a bridge, if I had one. With all the features on my current stove, I really can't complain.

Happy cooking and baking, friends!

Vicki

Vikki,

I use the grill at least 2-3 times a week. I might use it less when the novelty wears off. It is really handy and easy to clean. The "brick" under the grill and the grill pieces can be thrown in the dishwasher. Usually I just let them cool and place them in my dishwater when I am done with the dishes. By the time I have everything else put away they just need a quick wipe and they are clean. The grill is also nice as a built in trivet. When it is time to take a pot off the heat I just move it over to my grill and don't have to worry about potholders Smile

I guess I am just used to gas. I learned how to cook and bake in a resturant using gas convection ovens and ranges. I do miss how easy it and fast a gas range responds. Even with the convection function on my electric stove, a convection gas oven cooks a bit more evenly.

Overall I do like it and it is a big step up from my little propane oven. It was one of the reasons I chose this condo. That and the kitchen in general.
