This was a post from DDPIE, a BakeSpace Member who was kind enough to jot down directions when using sites like Flickr. Thanks DDPie!
First step is "uploading" your photos that are on your computer to a photo storing place on the internet. Like mentioned, http://photobucket.com/ or http://flickr.com/ (mine are on flickr) Whichever site you choose, they will have a step by step tutorial to show you how to do this.
When you are ready to post your photo, it is helpful if you go ahead and start your bakespace pantry post first. Now click on the "img" button above. (do not type this in, push the button to get it there) you will see this in your message box---> [img] (this is called the image tag). Like the full screen shot below (my cursor is on the img box):
Now we have to put the photo address (also called a "URL") in there. You have to leave your pantry message box open or you will loose your post. So, open up another browser window (page) in order to go get your photo. You can minimize your "browser" window by going all the way up to the top right and clicking on the minus sign (-) This will put the page at the bottom, out of your way for the time being. Now, open up another browser page.
NOTE: If you don't know, a browser is what you use to view the internet, like internet explorer, netscape, firefox, aol. etc. It's basically the button you push to get on the internet (like the little "e" on your desktop, or the aol triangle, or the netscape lighthouse) If you have internet explorer (most common) and it is updated, you can click on an empty tag for a new page to open. (At the top of some of my screen shots, you can see my flickr tab, the the post a reply tab and so forth)
Ok, now, with a new blank page open, go to the site where your photo is. Place your mouse cursor over the photo you want and right click. A "dialogue" box will open up. Move your cursor down to where it says "properties" like this:
Click on "properties" and another box will pop up. Go to where it says "Address" "URL", you are going to highlight everything beginning with the "http" and ending with "jpg". While the address is highlighted, and with your mouse somewhere touching the highlight part, right click your mouse and another box will pop up. Go down to "copy" and then click ok. Here is the screen shot:
Ok, now open back up the browser window that has your post (with the image tag that you put in there) If you don't see where it went, look down at the bottom of your computer screen on the bar that goes all the way across, it will be a tab that says,"post a reply", click on it and it will pop up.
Immediately after your image tag (the "[img]" ) paste the address that you copied. Once you have your image copied, then click on the "close tags" just above your message box. this will put a [/img] tag there for you. It should look like this:
Click on the preview button to see if your photo shows up before submitting. If it doesn't here are some things to check:
Did you click on the "img" button to place it? If you just manually type it in it won't work. Did you "close your tag" by placing the [/img] last?
Is the complete address there? beginning with http and ending with a jpg?
Note: if there are any funny numbers or signs after the "jpg" just erase them and them only. Also, be sure your URL (photo address) doesn't have any quotation marks in it.
You can post any pic from anywhere on the net using this method. For example, if you right click on one of my screenshots above, you'll see the properties box with the address in it. Notice it has http://bakespace....gobity goo? That is telling the computer where the picture is that you want.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. (NO question is a dumb question, believe me) Heck, we all have to start somewhere. I hope this helps! If you post and it doesn't work, go ahead and post what showed up and we might be able to see what the problem was.

I initially started posting here because I am working in Ubuntu and I was having trouble inserting a picture but I figured it out! I thought I would post some help for anyone working in Ubuntu, because it is ever so slightly different than Windows.
In the dialog box step where you went to find the address of the photo with .jpg on the end, instead of Properties, click View Page Source. It will be there kind of in the middle somewhere, sure enough, ending in .jpg
I had thought it might be in View Page Info, but it is not! Just sift carefully through the source code, it's in there!
