I've been on the web this morning looking for a recipe for Yum Yum Cake.
My friends birthday is next week and I asked her what she wanted and she said a Yum Yum cake and I never heard of it Sad

She said it's like a fruit cake without the citron. It's a moist cake and it was made in the depression.
I'll keep on looking but if anyone comes up with one I sure would appreciate that recipe.

My daughter collected recipes for a cookbook as a fund raiser for a church youth group. One of the ladies submitted this recipe:
Yum Yum Cake
2 cups sugar; 2 cups flour; 2 teastpoons soda; 2 cups crushed pineapple
Mix flour, sugar and soda; add eggs(I'm sorry, she didn't include eggs in the list of ingredients) then pineapple. Bake in greased pan at 350 degrees until brown. Ice while hot.
ICING: 1 cup condensed milk; 1 cup sugar; 1 stick margarine; 1 teaspoon vanilla. Boil 3 minutes. Add 1 cup pecans and 1 cup coconut. Pour over cake.
