|
|
AUTO:
1. Spray car locks with cooking spray to avoid frozen doors in winter.
2. Avoid brake dust from sticking to your wheels by spraying a little cooking spray on them after they have been cleaned.
3. Bugs wipe right off if you spray a bit of cooking spray onto a soft cloth and rub onto your car's grille. Also brightens and shines.
HOME:
1. For a sticky key lock, spray the key with cooking spray before inserting into lock. Work back and forth a couple of times to distribute the oil.
2. Spray candle holders with cooking spray to keep melted wax from sticking.
3. Easily remove soap scum from sink, tub, and tiles by wiping with cooking spray after your initial cleaning. Spray a little onto a clean dry cloth and polish fixtures. Soap scum and dirt will wipe right off. Rinse with water and dry with a clean cloth.
4. Windows slide up and down with ease - just spray a bit of cooking spray on a cloth and polish the inside of the window frame.
5. Spray your putty knife before stripping paint - makes it much easier to clean while you are working.
6. Spray your cheese grater with non-stick cooking spray to prevent the cheese from sticking.
7. Remove rust from steel kitchen tools, such as steak knives or a french fry cutter: spraying a bit of cooking spray on a towel or piece of toweling and polish the metal. Keep rust from returning by spraying with an additional light coat of spray.
8. Spray drawer glides so drawers slide open and closed easily.
9. Shine shoes quickly by spraying a cloth with cooking spray; wipe. Also great for leather or urethane purses, coats, briefcases, etc.
10. Spray garlic press with cooking spray so it will be easy to clean.
OUTSIDE:
1. Spray a rusty bike chain with a little cooking spray to get it moving.
2. Keep grass from sticking to lawnmower blades by spraying the blades with cooking spray before mowing.
3. Prevent snow from sticking to your snow shovel or clogging your snow blower chute by spraying with cooking spray.

|
|
This fertilizer works wonderfully! It's super cheap and fast to make, and if you combine and store just the dry ingredients in advance, the mixture is child-safe. When ready to fertilize just add to water and mix in some ammonia if needed.
Mix equal parts:
Baking Powder
Baking Soda
Epson Salts
Few drops food coloring (optional)
Ammonia (see note)
Mix and store dry ingredients in covered container. (Coffee can, margarine container, Cool Whip bowl, etc.) Add food coloring if desired.
(Blue, green. whatever - this is just for appearance.)
When ready to mix with water:
For each gallon of water, add 1 Tablespoon mix.
Add 1 Tablespoon Ammonia for plants other than Tomatoes.
Mix in bucket or empty plastic milk jug.

In order to remove the oily residue that builds up on hairbrushes and combs, soak them in a solution of three tablespoons baking soda per quart of warm water.
Turn an empty egg carton into a cool cash register drawer when your kids play store.
To clen oven racks, put them in a large heavy-duty plastic trash bag, add 1/2 cup household ammonia, close tightly with a rubber band and let sit overnight. Next morning, hose them down outside or rinse them in the sink.
Love the idea of this post, geels! Thanks!

Sorry weird time of night, so I can only think of two right now, turn the coffee filters (basket type) over and inside out to make it easier to get just one. Roll bacon from one short end to the other to make it easier to separate. I bless the person who first told me about spraying the cheese grater with Pam, oh it has made my cheese grating a much less dreaded chore. _________________ Patti
