Wargofive,
Sounds like you aren't having enough time to enjoy the parties if you are the only one doing all of the work |

Good Morning, my friends!
Holly, thank you for starting this post today. What cheery graphics to start the day.
Linda, has your surgery been rescheduled? The combination of exhaustion and pain is miserable. You are in my prayers.
This morning, my son is home ill. He HOPES to attend school by noon. The snow has let up in small spurts. While it is beautiful, rush hour had more accidents than usual as people get reaquainted with winter driving.
Wish each of you well,
Hugs,
Vicki (dutchmom4) |

GOOD MORNING HOLLY, LINDA W., VICKI and ALL who drop in.....
What a beautiful day it is outside! That is if you don't have to venture out in it. It's cold (22*) and snowing! Big puffy flakes and coming down pretty hard. It kind of puts me in the mood to finish my decorating! DH and I got the tree up yesterday and now i have a couple totes of figurees to go through..not going put everything out, but it will take most of the afternoon to do that. I also invited DD and the family over for dinner. I'm going to fix Bake Steak and put it in the Nesco to slow cook while I'm finishing up the house. My foot is already hurting terriblely from being on it yesterday, that I took a pain pill and thought I'd say hi to you girls , while it took affect.
*****HOLLY, How are you this morning..The Garfield graphic is too cute!
*****LINDA W, I'm so sorry that you're in pain, believe me I know how it makes you feel. It's really hard to stay in a good mood when you're in pain 24/7. Hopefully after your surgery and your recovery tyime you'll be good as new. In the mean time, you are just going to have to say NO to all the parties and start thinking about yourself......you can't be there for everyone all the time. When you go to the doctor will he tell you when you surgery is scheduled for ? Please let us know...you are in my daily prayers, but I want to say a special prayeron your surgery daya nd be there to hold your hand. (((LINDA))) By the way..I love your graphics too!!
*****VICKI, Tommorrow is your surgery day..isn't it? i'm keeping you close at heart and saying a prayer that everything goes as planned.(((VICKI))) Please let us know how things went.OK?
Well , I better get off here and get busy.....I can see now that there's no little elves in there doing it for me. You all have a good day and hello to those that stopped in later. Take care...Debbie _________________ Debbie

Good afternoon everyone! I'm a little late in getting my post in today. I took a day of vacation so i could conduct some personal business. I work in cubicle land and making personal phone calls is nearly impossible!
I didn't get everything done that I had planned yesterday. I tidied up the kitchen and then got started on Christmas cards - I forgot how long it takes just to get things together. Had to email my siser, sister in-law and a cousin to get some current addresses. Printed return address labels and hand adressed the envelopes. Still have to sign cards and write some letters - plus still waiting on some addresses. I never did get to the dreaded bank statement.
Today, in the middle of phone calls, I scanned and printed my nephew's senior pictures for my sister - they look great! I answered and wrote some emails and IM'd one of my friends from work.
Linda - I hope your appointment with the doctor goes well - is this the one who is doing your surgery? If so, I hope you can get rescheduled soon. I know it's so hard to be in the mood for all the Christmas festivities when you aren't feeling well.
Vicki - I hope your son is feelng better.
Debbie - I'm glad you are gettng your decorations up. I'm sure it's hard to get everything accomplished with your poor foot bothering you all the time. Your dinner sounds good - I have a Nesco too and love it. We don't have snow here, but it's very cold!
Jan - I missed reading your posts - glad you're back.
Well guess I had better get back to the Christmas cards, talk to you later.

Hello everyone, I spent the morning making choclate covered pretzels and Mona's Pecan Kisses. The pecans are very easy to make and they taste great. Thank you Mona for the great recipe. Linda I know it is very hard to be in the Cristmas spirit but hang in there and let us know when your surgery is. You are in my prayers everyday. Vicki you also have been in my prayers too. I will be praying and thinking about you tomorrow. Holly your graphics are so cute. They brighten my days too.
Everyone have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys. Glad to see everyone today. Linda, sorry you're not in the mood - I'm having a hard time getting into it myself, don't know why though. I did manage to buy a few Christmas presents though so I'm moving in the right direction. Maybe soon I'll get those decorations up huh LOL?
Vicki, I don't remember whether your surgery is this Wednesday (tomorrow) or next. I'm sending good wishes your way that all goes well.
Sheryle, it must be hard to do anything in cubicleland without the three people next to you knowing or hearing. I don't think I'd like that too much. I finished and mailed all my cards last week, and now only have the online friends list to get through.
Debbie, it sounds coooold by you girl. I do love seeing snow come down though - but it only makes me worry if the kids are driving. OK, so the kids are 20 and 26 years old, but I still worry LOL!
Holly, Jan, Anita and everyone else - hope your day went well! Cya all tomorrow |
