so u arent that far from job at all. lol. only way i know back roads is bc i tried rt 24 to 287 one day and it was a nightmare. so i figured out how to go through parsippany to get to 287 right by rt 80. if i cant even get from 287 to 80 then i go to rt 46. its a mess for me to get home. _________________ http://bakespace.com/?Lids |

Hi Michele,
I've never been to Marakesh, but I know exactly where it is. If you try it, let me know what you think.
Have you eaten in Morristown much? We have a few really great restaurants. My favorites:
--> Andaman Sea Recipes - Thai food - right across from the Morristown Train station. We do takeout from there a lot and the food is consistently great.
--> Pamir - Afghan cuisine - very good!
-->Pazzo, Pazzo - Italian - a little trendy, but a fun place and great seasonal food
--> Chand Palace - vegetarian Indian - this one's in Parsippany - good food and pretty reasonably priced.
--> Arthur's in Morris Plains - I'm guessing you've been there since it's pretty close to where you live - can't beat the burgers and the prices!
Those are the ones that come to mind immediately. Oh and there is a place down near the train station called Raul's empanadas. It's super cheap and the food is great. It is not "light" by any stretch of the imagination. I always feel guilty after eating, but it's SO good on the way down

Cathy (can I call you that? ) would you believe we just tried Raul's last week! lol I have to say I thought it would be a little better. Maybe that's b/c we did the combo and tried the plain ones. No cheese in ours.
Are you a vegetarian?
Never ate at Pazzo Pazzo but love that it has an outdoor bar. We went there a few times last summer. Can't wait for it to get nicer out so we can go there again. Hope you have a babysitter so you guys can come too!
I like Arthurs we ate there once or twice. It was good for the price! _________________ MICHELE

Actually, my nickname is Cat. I never went by Cathy - my mom didn't want my name shortened at all, but all my friends in high school and college called me Cat.
That's funny that you just tried Raul's. It's a guilty pleasure... there's something about salty, fried food that I can't resist! I am not a vegetarian, but I do like good vegitarian fare.
We'd love to go to Pazzo, Pazzo. The food there is quite good and the atmosphere is fun. I've never sat outside, though.
Have you had the chinese at the corner of East Hanover and Speedwell (I'm blanking on the name)? It gets rave reviews but we've had mixed feelings about it. One day it's really good and the next it's super greasy. Not to mention that it's pretty pricey. |
