Did you suck out all the air and make sure there was the least amount of moisture as possible? Those are the two leading culprits in freezer burn...kinda hard with strawberries...but... Heather

I use 2 things for freezing. The 1 I use most is my Foodsaver, a vaccum sealer. The other is Glad Press 'N Seal. Between the 2 of them I never have to worry about freezer burn. -Lee |

I fix lunch for my girls each day for school. I was only buying deli meats for 2-3 day supply. The lady at the meat counter told me to take my deli meat, especially turkey, and remove it from the thin little bag they sell it in, and put it in a zip lock freezer bag for storage in the refrigerator. She said that it would keep for the full 7-8 days. I now do that with all my deli meats and packaged cheese. They keep longer and taste so much better.

| I find that Glad Press & Seal is really great, especially if you don't have a vaccuum sealer like Food Saver. |

| The Food Saver is the best money you will ever spend. I am only sorry I didn't buy the big daddy version of it. I use it every day. I freeze things for over a year. It is especially nice for expensive cheeses that you don't use all at once and nuts and chocolate that I buy for special holiday cookies and baking that need to be stored for long periods of time. |

| I forgot to mention that I am single, so I have to vacuum seal EVERYTHING if I want to get the most out of my weekly shopping. |
